Will do more personals later - can't remember everyones news !!! ((hugs)) to everyone who needs one or who just wants one !!

Morning all!:hello:
Have had a quick read through the thread but already forgotten loads, sorry.
Haribo - glad things went fairly okay at the hospital and it sounds as if you have an excellent specialist! Pleased for you about the new car.:j
Icecubequeen - well done on the new job!:j
Catznine - sorry to hear you've had migraine - glad it's better now though. Hope all goes well with the dentist.
Herbaholic -Have a lovely day at Ryton - looks like being a nice weekend weatherwise, so should be a good day!:D
N9eav - Yay, you sold the boat! Excellent! Typical though that as soon as money comes in it has to go out again.
Thanks to everyone for the hugs and kind wishes yesterday about my cat.. sadly we did end up having him put to sleep, as he didn't respond well to the insulin and it would have taken a long time to stabilise him , if it could be done at all, and would involve regular blood tests as well as twice-daily injections - it didn't seem a very kind thing to do to such an old cat, so we thought it best to say goodbye. It seems odd at home atm as we were used to looking where we were treading, as he'd got into a habit of flaking out any old where! At least we can now give more attention to our other cat (his Mum) who's 17 and not eating much lately so she's off to the vet too tomorrow in hopes they can help her. She seems her usual self really but I'm worried she's eating so little.
Had some very surprising news yesterday too - DD2 is expecting her 2nd baby in December! It was a bit of a shock for them - DGS will be only 16 months old and she was planning to go back on the Pill this week (having decided it would be wise to give her body a chance to get back to normal before going back on it!) And they have just recently remortgaged their house! The odd thing is, just after we got back from New Zealand in late March I had a dream that she was expecting another baby when DGS would be 16 months old - in my dream her "bump" was quite big, and DGS was toddling around (and had more hair!:D ) We worked out she must have just conceived when I had the dream. Spooky or what!I'm sure everything will work out fine. She had her first scan yesterday and all looks fine, she'd been worried as she'd had a night out with her friends and got quite squiffy (lovely word!) on cocktails, just at the time when all the "rules" say you mustn't drink or it could damage the baby. She hadn't known she was pregnant at the time. It looks quite okay though and has long legs and big feet just like DGS in his first scan.:p
Anyway I've bored you long enough so I'd better go now and decide how to spend the day - shopping and washing looks favourite atm! and will have to get something for tonight's dinner as we used up all the lovely meat we got from the butcher on Monday.
Will pop back later and catch up! Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all............(((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to those who need them....insect bites, tell me about them, I went to Hawaii, I had only been on the island for 10 minutes and I was bitten..............huge bite.............spread from ankle to knee, very painful, went to the drug store and got antihistamines, and also cream to rub on to put off the biters.................so far this year no probs!!!!!!!!!!
Dull grey morning, heavy rain forecast, no sign of it yet. Did not have a good night, OH sat up at 3.15am and said he needed the loo, put on the light to find he had laid down and was fast asleep...........me? wide awake!!!!!
Off to see my friend this afternoon leaving OH on his own for a couple of hours, he is much better, did a little bit at the allotment yesterday with no ill effect. He is certainly walking better and quicker.
Macaroni cheese for supper I think, have some cheese and milk to use up.....and we have enough of the treacle pudding for afters.
Right off to drink my coffee and get on.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Ivyleaf - im so sorry about your cats, but what wonderful news re the new baby xx
pooky - Lo and i are just about to go and make a chocolate cake (just cos we like cake tho!!!) and im now going to pinch your idea about covering it with melted mars bar, yummy!!!
Haribo - glad all is ok, and although not good about another biopsy, it must be nice to be seeing the 'top bod'. Ive seen Gabby whatsherface as well, she looked like she had a bad smell under her nose when i saw her too (at the Plymouth vs Watford match)!!!
PP - hope you feel better soon, and at least the essay is almost done now, hope you get it done asap xxx
scuzz - another holiday!!! Good for you, let us know where you are going!!!
icecubequeen - well done on the job (im also in Cornwall, but only just, you could wave to me as you go over the bridge to Plymouth!!!)
HUGS to anyone who needs one, sorry i cant go through everyone, but Lo is making yummy noises at the thought of chocolate cake, so i think we need to get a move on!!!0 -
Congratulations Ivyleaf that's really exciting!
She shouldn't worry too much re getting squiffy (i agree, great word!) once - from what I've read / heard the new guidance seems to be aimed at covering backs/ avoiding confusion rather than anything else though probably best not to over do it too much!
I hope you're really excited! I got to play with a colleague's 6 week old grandson yesterday and got all broody... It's funny because I feel that at 24 I'm too young to start having children but my mum was onto her third by now! (and that was me after a gap following the first two!) I feel like I'll never be able to afford children though!
Anyone got any ideas what the weather is going to do in South London - I'm trying to decide whether or not to hang my washing out...0
