Hi everyone,

Please help....

I was in my car and a guy i know has come over and completely wrecked my car smashed my windows and damaged the body work with me inside.

I have called my insurance and they have said basically i will end up paying although it wasnt my fault.

Surely this isn't fair and he should have to pay for his damages.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why would this guy smash your car up?

You'll have to sue the guy for the damages unless you want to go through your insurance (your excess if fully comp, if third party, fire and theft then you're not covered for the damage).

Or wait for compensation to be awarded by a court and him actually pay it.

Given the other posts I'm going to wager that this was a loan shark she couldn't pay (hiding in her car despite being unable to leave the house without a carer) or a mate doing her a favour so that she can make a fraudulent insurance claim. ;)
