    Police only arrest suspects.

What offence were you arrested for?

That doesn't sound right, generally victims don't get arrested unless they are also doing something wrong.

This has to go down the criminal damages route, you'll have to claim on insurance and then take it to court for compensation.

I won't get involved in the side taking of this, it's never as simple as it seems.

My brother is a good dad, but he nearly lost his son because of his partners "friends" getting their wooden spoons into the mix, accusing him of all sorts of stuff (all lies) and encouraging her to kick him out, quit work, take his biggest pay slips (varies depending on sales commission) to the CSA and live the easy life on £600+ a month.

So excuse me if I don't jump straight to the female side of these disputes. There are always two sides.

I've never been in trouble before with the law so this is totally new to me.

Police don't arrest to obtain witness statements.

    This is a wind up.

My brother is in that same situation, and i would never jump into anyone buisness but as a friend i will listen.

I haven't give her no advice other than she needs to sort it out as like you say there are always two sides to every story.

But having said that the husband is one to be arrested quite alot due to fighting and criminal damage.

Any way what happens in their relationship is there problem im just concerned about my car and me having to pay the costs.

So you were taken to a police station and interviewed.

What did they tell the custody officer when they asked why you were arrested?
