  • Hi Moneyless mac. I got the Lombard colour, Love, Peace and OPI, Muir Muir on the Wall and Embarca Dare you in the kit. I also bought Alcatraz Rocks from JL at Trafford Centre on Sunday. Am wearing Muir at the moment with AR on my ring fingers. It is gorgeous. I got the last bottle on display as well so was a bit giddy. Picked up a bottle of Essie Good to Go whilst at TC too.

Lovely colours there VALM - hope you enjoy them.
Im trying to squeeze the last drops of summer from Cumbria by sporting NI Queen Victoria Street on my toes. My Alcatraz rocks has been dispatched so hopefully it will be here for the weekend so I can experiment on my fingernails - as I dont think id be able to stand liquid sand on my toes.

    Another UU:

    23. Nivea Calm & Care 48h APD 250ml - WMBA but not for a long while, this was, I think, the penultimate in a large stash from a Mr T glitch a couple of years ago and I'm pretty sick of this scent now.

Also find that my body seems to become used to APDs, so not as effective if I don't chop and change every now and then. Thinking of trying one of the "max" APDs when I need to buy next, as a stressful job and very active lifestyle means I really put them through their paces and struggle to find one which keeps me dry all day. Any recommendations?

Off topic, I have just done a very un-MSE thing and signed up for PT sessions with my gym instructor to get me in perfect shape for my wedding - something which was not at all on my agenda, it was a moment of madness at the end of the class! so if you sense me weakening and about to succumb to any bought INs, please chastise me! OH will be cross enough with me (and i will be poor enough!) as it is :rotfl:

Good luck with the diet, I did it for 8 weeks before I went on holiday and lost 6lbs (which is loads for me, I have zero willpower!!)

I haven't put any back on yet but I do need to go back to the diet because it made me feel less hungry all the time so I was eating less on normal days.

There is a 5:2 thread on here somewhere but it was the usual negative stuff you find on the other threads that aren't about toiletries!!

Now I have remembered to post I am going away to finish off a bath ballistic so I can come back and tell you all about it! :rotfl:

Aww thanks, I have no will power too but managed the first day ok.

Had a bad day at work, just before I left got a letter from my line manager informing me an investigatory meeting tomorrow with him and HR. :( Allegations are a simple admin error but knowing the way the company work I am really dreading it. phoned a family HR friend who said I must be prepared, there is an ongoing bullying going on in the office, I had been a victim many times but of course no one will stand up. Don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, have to go to work all day before being it's held in the afternoon.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

  • I have always been the kind of woman who has about 20 gifts hampers of bath products, but still "stocks up." What is that about? Survival instinct?

I find putting a bottle or two (of whatever you want to use) by my bed / mirror, means I'm reminded to use them when I get ready or go to bed.

1 hamper down. 19 to go.

    Hi Asset,

I know what you're going through. I'm going through the same thing right now in fact. I know it's horrible and causes anxiety, but the best thing to remember is that it's a blip. Your life will still be yours tomorrow and in ten years. Just stand up tall, breathe in and deal with whatever they throw at you. Answer confidently and truthfully.

I know it's intimidating but try to have a bath / whatever relaxes you and get some sleep.

    I'm wishing you luck!

Asset, sorry to hear you're having to deal with that. But indeed as TigerLily said stand tall, be confident and say what you have to say.

I recently worked in a job where the lady (sort of) above me was awful, I'm so glad I had the confidence to tell our manager what she really made me feel like and how unapproachable she was. A year ago I wouldn't have been brave enough I don't think. Turned out that I definitely wasn't the only one who felt the same way about her! Thankfully it was a temp-perm role so I left before they could even ask for me to be perm!! I now work with a lovely team, so I'm very grateful.

Wishing you the best for it :)

    Morning all!

Hope things go well for you Asset2004 xx

I have ordered two bargain bags from Avon but they will arrive next month so....whatever! :D I love the 'pot luck' aspect of them, and it's been ages since I got some (due to lack of Avon rep!), so I bought a make-up one and a general bargain one *eeeeeeeee*

Meanwhile I've been going through my make-up and will be sending the following to Give & Make-Up, basically they're things that I've had for a while and never used or things I've used but no longer suit me....I've labelled some things 'Too Dark' which basically means I liked them about six months ago but now think they make me look like a corpse bride

Bare Minerals Eyeliner - Plum - Came in a set, I don't use pencil eyeliner
Bare Minerals Lip Gloss - Lollipop - Came in same set, I don't use clearish pink lipgloss either!
MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 10 - Too dark
MUA Trio Eyeshadow Eden - Wrong colours for me
MUA Lipstick Shade 1 - Too dark
No7 Duo eye shadow 2.5g Royal - Wrong colours for me
No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick 24g Sugar Plum - Used a lot about a year ago, now I've gone off this big time!
No7 Wild Volume lipstick 16g Plum blush - As above
Revlon Ultimate Suede Lip Colour - Trendsetter - I was sent this to test, the colour wasn't for me and it dried my lips out!
Umberto Gianinni Feline Eyes Eyeliner Pen - Golden Bronze - Bought as part of a set, this is the only one that's a colour I just can't get away with!
YSL Pure Colour Lipstick - Shade 39 - Tried every which way to make this work for me, but it didn't! Luckily I bought it on that glitch so only cost £5 ;)

These are going up for swaps.....

Benefit Bene Tint 4ml - Tried, liked, but never used!
Benefit Cha Cha Tint 4ml - As above
Benefit Sun Beam 4ml - As above

I also UU'd this in this morning's shower...

No 7 Beautiful skin Purifying exfoliator 75ml - WBA, have more in the stash!

    Elemis PCMC User List
Kadison - Night time only, on face, neck and decollete
Sundaysgirl - Night time only (though occasionally on face for day in winter when my skin is drier), on face and neck
Maddiemay - Mornings ATM, only on face
Moneyless Mac - Morning and night on face and neck
Fiasco55 - Mainly night time on face & neck but during the day as well if skin needs a pep up.
VALM - As a day cream only, on face and above eyes.
    Sam.4000 – At night only.

    I do that too!

I use spreadsheets now so I know exactly what I have and what I'm running out of, also makes me aware of things I have lots of (body lotion anyone?!)
