Can anyone recommend me a good face powder for someone with an oily chin :o I have tried so many but my chin is always oily again after a few hours :o

ive found Laura Mercier Secret Finish Mattifying used as primer helps with my oily skin. I have blotting powders on hand too, i use the papier poudre ones here there brill for £2.30!

just layering powder does nothing for me, i just end up with what looks like goop on my face :rotfl:

    2UU:

Lemon and Rosemary hand made soap - I'll definitely be buying handmade soap again, though maybe not this fragrance.

BS White Musk Blush - now discontinued. It was a nice fragrance, perfect for wearing to work during the summer months. I bought two bottles and used one last year. With both bottles, by the time I got to the last fifth, I was really sick of it and just wanted to get rid. I dunno why really, I think I probably just got a little too used to the scent.

Also kind of have an IN of Dermol Lotion, which was prescribed as a special wash for my dermatitis. I had an appointment with the dermatologist today and I'm a little bit confused - the specialist I've been seeing for 4 years about my skin problem (not a dermatologist) said there was a chance it was an allergy, and made me stop using all sorts of products. Now the dermatologist said that it's not possible for it to be an allergic reaction. This is good news, as I can go back to buying sulfate containing products if I want to, but I don't know which Dr to believe! I have discovered a few sulfate free products that I'm happy to continue to use though.

Oh silly me! After all that I forgot to report mu UU-

Sanctuary Moisturising Butter Scrub 200ml - I loved this, though found it more butter than scrub! It lives up to the claim that you don't have to moisturise afterwards, but of course this means my body lotions don't deplete loI I WMBA - I think I prefer something a bit more scrubby, but we shall see.

Oh And I UU a shave cartridge and TA the Wilkinson sword razor/bikini trimmer - the trimmer had stopped working anyway and I had bought another when it was on offer as "it'll come in useful at some point" :o When will I learn? It was perfectly serviceable as a razor, but I don't need 2!

I'm going to pretend that I don't have a Gillette Venus one as well as the associating cartridges. And This would be why I'm including them in my "stash". I'm counting them as 1 whole UU.

Started the 5:2 diet today :p needing some moral support!

Good luck with the diet, I did it for 8 weeks before I went on holiday and lost 6lbs (which is loads for me, I have zero willpower!!)

I haven't put any back on yet but I do need to go back to the diet because it made me feel less hungry all the time so I was eating less on normal days.

There is a 5:2 thread on here somewhere but it was the usual negative stuff you find on the other threads that aren't about toiletries!!

Now I have remembered to post I am going away to finish off a bath ballistic so I can come back and tell you all about it! :rotfl:

Maddiemay - Sorry I forgot to reply to your question about the Omorovicza. I think I bought it in about March or April, I used it once a week for a few weeks then twice a week for several weeks, it was a 50ml jar and lasted until the first week of August.

  • Evening all,

I have been very slow on the UU this month mainly because I had so many last month.

Liz Earle Skin Tint sachet in Beach - took the opportunity of having slightly tanned skin to get through the darkest shade! WNBA, I don't like the smell or texture of this stuff, I had 3 sachets of the different shades and this is the last of them.

Lush butterball ballistic - WNBA, this was a present and since I don't have a bath it was a toughie to UU! I chopped it in 4 and used it as a foot soak but it left such a greasy film in the basin I was glad I didn't have a whole bath to clean up afterwards!

John Frieda Luminous Colour Glaze Brunette - WNBA, this was such a LHJ, it has been lurking for about 5 years in my bathroom. I think I was meant to use it after conditioner and leave on my hair for 3 minutes but that was way too much faff so I just used it instead of conditioner occasionally.

My only ins so far this month are Timotei shampoo and Asda own brand face wipes and these were both needed so I am winning so far!

Will try to remember. Have tried on the moisturiser this morning, and think it's a little greasy looking, but think I might have applied it a little thick.

Also, was it you who asked me to let you know how the vit c microdermabrasion scrub worked out? I've been using it for 6 weeks now and it's OK - has really helped my dry skin, but I have really bad pores just now, and I'm not ruling out that it's related! I'd probably buy it again but not at full price...

It might have been, I love the idea of the whole Vitamin C range!

You need a decent primer, no powder will cover it up as the oil will melt the powder away. I have the same trouble with my nose, I use this stuff, it's light as air and works really well.
