Hi Prothet of Doom - When it was bad I relied on a walking stick to keep me upright at 26, had days when I couldn't move an arm or a leg etc. It was a gradual thing though, I found I was fine monday to friday but was a zombie saturday and sunday, it would then shrink to being fine until the thursday and by friday I would run out of steam. When it finally hit hard I could get up to do the school run but found myself asleep the rest of the time for about a month. I had medication that tbh I thought was a placebo and no longer take, nor do I go to any appointments anymore.
Now, I do have days where if I do too much I definitely notice I'm slower the next day but it doesn't cripple me with the same intensity. I tend to only notice pain in my fingers now but very rarely. Thankfully. I have drastically reduced my working hours and work from home. If I had to go and work in an office again I'd be a little worried - I'd do it but I'd be worried.

It's a funny old thing. In hindsight I think it came from a bad case of swine flu that even hospitalised my daughter who has asthma. The tiredness comments frustrated me, its so much more, it was the pains and the inability to function that got me. I can do tired - I'm a mum lol.

    Hope your wife is well.
  • Yeah, I think most people just don't get it. It's not that they are uncaring, it's that they just don't understand.

Have had a few lazy days. Have paid the credit card minimum today although full plan to put extra into it. Getting a bit to high for my liking.

Have joined the 52 week money challenge.

Been getting on as a flylady - house is looking pretty good (minus half painted walls)

Going to toddle down the road to the school shop to pick up hopefully 2 jumpers, treat myself to Greggs and down to see about some contents insurance.

Feel a little unprogressive at the moment, my accomplishments haven't really been financially based. More getting things in the post that have been pending and following up repair calls etc. Hoping I have a nice excess amount after payday to clear some of this £.

School jumpers purchased with a discount. The shop offered 2 for £25 or 3 for £32 but only if they were all the same size. Technically the jumpers were an age and the cardy was a small - my defense was that they measure up the same size and are for the same child so managed to get the 3 for £32. Chuffed.

Picked up the contents insurance form, just need to find a black pen, fill in and send off.

Also very pleased that my rent account got sorted I've gone from owing £25 to being in credit by £500! This debt clearing is so addictive, the thought of £25 owing was doing my head in - especially knowing I didn't owe it.

Next month should allow me to have enough left over now to clear the majority if not all of my credit card, until then I will continue to drip feed a few pounds a day at it.

Have been looking for a pretty mosquito net type thing for daughters bed nicest one I found was £40, so opted for a cheapy £7.50 Ikea one and have raided my nans goody box and have loads of sequins, buttons and fabric hearts to sew on to it.

Still pretending to fly and working - 6 days left unless I can convince this one to make an appearance earlier.

Have had a busy home week, spent painting, building furniture, resting and willing on labour.

Off to update my finances and find flylady for the week.

    Thank you Granariesgirl. x
  • Hi Roxy,

Been reading your diary since it appeared in the weekly email (and dipped into the old thread too), just wanted to say a big thanks as it's inspired me to sign up to MSE forums and get my act together a little more with my own debts.

Have a great day and hope that baby comes along soon :)

    Hi Rwells14.

I hope it has inspired you, start a thread and some challenges, people really are lovely and helpful.

I've been told today they are inducing me on Monday to save what is left of my paint covered carpet - Eek.

Was really hoping I would get paid today to that I could update stats and pay things off but no such luck. Guess it will be monday. It's amazing how much you can look forward to payday, not because you finally have some money but because you can make a figure a few pounds lower and get closer to clear.

Have joined the September Step up challenge too now.

Induction day tomorrow, have been pottering around today. Still willing payday to happen. Have had to juggle some money to make sure direct debits are covered for tomorrow. Just in case of a worst case scenario.

Also joined the no buying unnecessary toiletries challenge in September - need to give myself something to do on maternity leave.

Going to try and create a fancy income and expenditure spreadsheet too, just because.
