I think I need to stay to keep me on the straight and narrow. I'm already thinking I can do this and that. Which it clearly don't need as they weren't very high on my list before yesterday.
I like all the little challenges too.0 -

Hi asparagus
Thank you. I know exactly what you mean. I think this is the first time in my life these last few months I haven't run out of money before the month. Where I have scraped by its been from poor judgements.
So like you just want to stay on track and if I can help anyone the way I have been helped the great.0 -
Thanks Roxy, feeling much better.
GREAT news! What a lovely Mum & good on you, determined to keep up your good work.

It's been quite a week. Have been visiting high school for DD1 with DD2 it's been quite tiring, but must be done. It's like buying a house. I hope she gets her first choice.
Following my fab news about the car mum also announced that she will get us a new all singing all dancing tv as joint Xmas and bday presents. So last night I was down at currys shopping. I did manage to pick the brains of the young sales assistant on his thoughts on local schools so got some good advice. Turns out he lives on the next road.
I need ideas on what to get my parents for Xmas, generally they don't need anything or want anything but they've been so good to me. My dad is a garden and allotment man doesn't do much else rather than potter around. My mum has a finger in various voluntary pies, struggles to find time for herself so I don't know. Research needs to be done.
Put Dd1 in a local youth club for the first time in a year. Normally she went to ones via the school which is out of area. Hoping this one will give her some local friends. Not that she's allowed to go out with them lol. So that's now a twice a week affair. Once before swimming and once before going to mums for tennis. And at £2 for 2 and a half hours it's very mse.
Next weeks mission is to get dd2 weighed, catch up with a friend I haven't seen in over a year and continue the school viewings.
Today's mission is to tidy up, go see OH at work to collect Dd1 birthday present from him (not his child so quite impressed he's a month ahead) then off to dinner at Nans.
Have a good day.0 -
Haven't posted here for a hot min but have been lurking.
Little Tiny is getting bigger, now just under 10lbs, my arm muscles are growing. We had a challenging few weeks of screaming, belly aches, rashes and blocked bowels - the verdict little one is intolerant to milk. She's partly formula fed and within a day of changing it her skin went down and bowels moved stopping the screaming. So I now have one with asthma and a nut allergy and one with eczema and milk intolerance. Me - I can eat anything. Very strange. The doctor said if you have a parent with either asthma, eczema or hayfever any child is likely to have a 75% chance of having one of the three also.
House looks neglected but it's either house is neglected and sleep happens or vice versa.
Very proud mama today as big one had parents evening and it was glowing, even maths which usually is a struggle. Also didn't have the usual, she's a bit chatty comment. Take away as a reward followed by an evening of watching vevo music videos circa 90's with her on the tv. lol.
Need to do a little bit of work tomorrow, its a bit busy, although not back yet.
Currently in bed with a persistent cough, Vicks on my feet and socks on as recommended by a helpful person on another thread.0 -
Sliding back in like we were mid convo....
Little one is now 19 weeks, doing well but plagued by eczema, big one is now 11 and away on a school trip to Devon. Will attempt to post more, when I post I focus.0 -
Todays challenge has been to find out when my dental appt is, reschedule DD1 apt - both of which achieved.
I've wrapped two parcels for sending, will toddle off to do this shortly with the buggy.
Current mission is to finish sorting bedroom cupboard and do my fly list.0
