:j:j:j OMG I'm back in :j:j:j
Boy oh boy that has been an aweful week  from the server change-over last weekend I wasn't getting my thread subscription emails and first of all MSE were denying there was anything wrong  but as more people reported the same problem they obviously looked into it furtherBy Wednesday I think it was I was getting more and more frustrated so thought I'd change my email address and see if that would sort the problem out, but as with the other emails the verification email wasn't coming through  It made it worse because I could only then access my account, but couldn't comment/edit/post/search, pretty much nothing except 'thank' and use the red/green buttons
I tried setting up another account but the same thing happened, I wasn't receiving my verification email
Thankfully I did manage to send/receive emails to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and they manually verified my second account first, but then overnight they have manually verfied my original account :j :j :j
I've been told NOT to change my email address back yet, and will be leaving things alone until everything has finally got sorted out :j:j:j
It's my wedding anniversary today, so thank you MSE, being back online is a great present :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Huge thanks to mumto2boys for taking over the Magazine Dailies while this problem has been going on and Glad for assisting her in setting up the new thread
p.s. I haven't receiving a backlog of thread subscription emails though, so presume I must have my original problem#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -

Im afraid i dont know how to post individual posts, but this is an example of what i have found.
Post 334 is for a £500 Lipsy voucher - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4601135
Ive picked this one as i would say it would be a popular prize, however, it closed on the 24/07 and had 68 thanks.
This - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4493981 closed on the 30/04, is for facebook users and students, so a more restrictive competition, yet had 92 thanks.
This one - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3322354 again, a restrictive facebook comp, closed 2 years ago, when there was less people comping than now, with 455 thanks.
A Kindle fire comp on the magazine thread (actually, its just below the lipsy comp, post 345) 77 thanks, one that closed yesterday on the main board (and just the Kindle, not the books as well https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4717005) 681 thanks.
I just feel the way it has changed, it is now stopping a lot of compers from entering, and surely the boards are meant to run for the benefit of the majority, not the minority?
:hello: I'm sorry you don't like the way that magazine dailies are posted now comping cat and others, but as explained by others in my absence the magazine dailies were taking up to much time for several people to post up, transfer to daily sticky, take from the end of daily sticky and put on front page, so the new way is update easier and quicker and is more efficient for the majority of people. I did ask if the new thread could be a sticky but was turned down, that would be the ideal situation and no-one would miss it.
I agree the 'thanks' for the specific posts are down, but I think that is down to the fact that only mag daily compers will 'thank' them. I disagree that the new way stops new compers from seeing/entering as it will always be bumped up the page when new posts are added on the end.
Huge thanks to supporters for their comments in my absence :kisses3: but now can we :grouphug: and carry on comping #StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -
