I've used this method to extract money from credit cards before when I've needed it. Much cheaper to pay PayPal fees rather than cash withdrawal fees on a credit card.

You can also hold two PayPal accounts (one business, one personal), so it's very simple if you want to send funds to yourself. :)

Not sure if this is going to work?I carried out 2 transactions today as per discussed..(Intentions were to carry out a further 4 transactions over the next few days)

Here's the email I have received from Paypal?

    Dear Joe Bloggs

We recently noticed that you completed credit card cash advances, which aren't allowed under our User Agreement.

If you participate in a restricted activity while using our service, we may temporarily or permanently suspend your PayPal account. You should also know that we may hold or delay a payment at our discretion to ask you for more information about any transactions you've completed.

You can view the terms of our User Agreement, which you accepted upon creating your PayPal account, by clicking Legal Agreements at the bottom of any PayPal webpage.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing PayPal.

    Sincerely,
    Rose

What's that suppose to mean?Have I really been breaching some kind of pay pal rule by carrying out the 2 transactions today?

If I continue with the remaining transactions will they allow it?

Also here is what the email the receiver received from pay pal??

    Dear Joe Blogs

You have received £1,900 or more in total payments to your PayPal account
in this calendar year. PayPal is required by law to comply with European
Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations by collecting information from
customers when they receive more than £1,900 in total payments within a
calendar year. Until you provide us with the information we need, your
account will be limited. You won’t be able to send or withdraw any money
using PayPal, however, you may still be able to receive payments.

When PayPal limits an account, your funds may be held until we've confirmed
your identification as set out in our User Agreement.

Nothing wrong with that. They just need to verify their PayPal account. Usually this is done by linking a bank account and PayPal paying in a random amount from 1p to 99p and then the user enters this figure to prove they have access to the bank account. This process will take 2-5 days usually.

I need to pay money to a friend he has asked me to pay him via paypal?

I hold a credit card, wondering if I can call credit card company and ask them to make a payment to my friends credit card?

    Would this be possible?

Would I get charged for doing this?

    Any help/advice would be appreciated

If he's the friend you sday he is, why won't he accept the money into his bank account??? (e.g bank transfer)

No fees, no fuss. Simples!

Faster payments would mean he would almost certainly have got the money within 2 hours, perhaps much quicker :)
  • I suspect the OP doesn't have the funds available to him in cash.

Hi yes bank accounts have now been verified on both ends..

Unable to bank transfer as at this present time the only way forward is to lean on the credit card I have.

Called pay pal to see where i stand with them upon carrying out the 2 transactions which breach their rules..

They were ok with me advised not to try it again as the likeliness is it won't be allowed etc..

I get restrictions on my PayPal account fairly regularly.

Each time it happens however a quick phone call sorts things out.

So long as you have verified your address, phone numbers, cards, and bank accounts it's dead easy to lift auto-imposed limits with a five minute phone call.

They have my photo ID on file now too which helps.
