I think it's a good way of looking at it.
If it helps, to work it out, you need to do this sum:
Amount paid off divided by total debt at LBM, then times the result by 100
In this instance you've paid off £2208.66 whereas your 63% used the current debt figure of £3843.34. It was actually how much debt you have left!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2026 Plan:- 25/26 Pension £3,000/£3,500

Do you know how many times I tried that, and it really didnt look right! honestly...thank god I have a spreadsheet for the budget eh?!
So only spent £1 today getting a fruit snack and some salad for lunch (I bought in my own cooked chicken), and DH has paid me back £20 from the weekend.
I'm contemplating popping to Lidl tonight for a top-up shop, but going to try and leave this as long as possible. Especially in the heat, we have food, just need bread and salad stuff. But try to delay spending anything!
May have to go tomorrow though.
Racking up my swag bucks though, when I commit to it, I can get a fiver in just a few days. need to keep it up!Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -

Morning!!
well that was a nice weekend...apart from the storms, which leave me cowering at the thunder!!
I do however have weird patches of sun burn, obviously where I missed with the sun cream. But other than that, the Lidl's sun cream (£1.99 SPF 50 worked well)
A few spends at a local village fete (all to the upkeep of the village hall etc, so I didnt mind) a couple of Pimms too, took £20 out with me and came home with change. Still within budget.
Planning a picnic for next weekend (my sister is buying the food, dad is driving to the lake) so free trip out for me!
Just need to keep my money in my pocket this week, I can't forsee any spending so it's all good. Just working on getting my next fiver on swag bucks. I mainly just let me phone run the tv app, so I don't really have to do anything and can easily rack up 40 points a day.
I've got a load of copper coins at home, I used to keep them and put them in the bank once I had £1 or something. I now have loads, and am contemplating taking them to the 'coinstar' machine in tesco. Can't see how much commision they take for converting to bigger coins. Must investigate.

Hi all!
Sun is still shining, but starting to feel the drafty chill in the office now!
Thought I'd just check in whilst listening to my Dave Ramsey podcast.
Completed a few more surveys on swagbucks, nearly up to another fiver.
Have got £2.46 cashback from quidco making its way to the bank account, just waiting til the day before payday and will empty my bank account to pay off one of my cards (only have 2 now) which should be about £50 - hopefully if I dont spend anything else now til the end of the month (28th).Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
I tend to take a handful of coppers with me to the supermarket and then use them in the self-service - no commission taken but you still get rid of them!
Hope you're having a great weekend.0 -

Hi all!
well nothing to report from my side, havent spent a penny!! I now have £22 left in my bank account, and I'm trying to hold onto it until payday. It is allocated to petrol, but I still have nearly half a tank so I'm really trying to make it last!
We did you fortnightly shop last night (from the joint budget/account) and spent £60 - which included toilet rolls, bathroom cleaner, toiletries etc. I even bought the most lovely moisturiser for £1.99! Thank you Lidl :-)
DH and I kind of clashed when we got home though, he got another letter from his DMP (Baines and Ernest), just checking on his progress etc and trying to get him to lower his payment (i.e. take longer to pay debt and make more money from him). This really annoys me, He has had Payplan paperwork on the side for over a month now, he understands he is being ripped off royally by B&E but just needs a rocket up his bum to do anything about it! Drives me crazy!!!
We have separate finances, mainly due to our debts (I pay mine, he pays his) and we both contribute to a joint account for all our joint expenses, so rent, food, bills, car insurance that sort of thing.
I've told him my concerns that I will be debt free and he will just be sitting there paying pittance getting no where because he 'deserves' to live how he wants now.
guys. I am a Dave Ramsey fan. I am a Mr Money Mustache fan.
If you know these things, you know the rage I feel, you know the madness I see!!!
sorry, just a major gripe. I've been working him for years. Just shows you can only really look after yourself and hope others will follow.Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
Morning!
well it's Monday again...groan....but I haven't spent anything over the weekend.
Got an email from camel camel camel last night telling me that my cats special food is at an all-time-low reduced price! not happy as Ive just ordered it from somewhere else £33 instead of £29. o well!
Getting a little frustrated with OH. He tells me he has no money to save for our honeymoon but he went out to the pub yesterday for 6 hours....I don't know how to approach this without sending him back into his cave...I think I need to wait til his payday and help him budget better.
Got to go to London again this week for work (they will pay for tickets) but I may need to get some lunch, and I'm down to £13 in my account which I want to save for petrol.
I am thinking of taking up knitting...may be some sort of nesting feeling or I've lost it in the heat, but I used to do it as a kid.....badly....but I'd like to take it up again, maybe just make some nice blankets....part of my long term plan to never put the heating on again :-)Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0
