So last night we went to Lidl, love how you can throw loads in a trolley and its still so cheap!
We spent £67 (for two weeks of food/toiletries etc), which leaves us with £29 for food (til payday Friday)...woo under budget! So that will be added to the honeymoon fund.
Have bought in fruit and greek yogurt, as well as homemade chicken salad for lunch, so no popping to the work canteen today.
no money needs to be spent now, and payday is Friday!Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -

Hey rockm87!!
Found you!! :T
Looks like overall we've been ploughing through this debt malarkey for a similar length of time! Ups and downs, hey!
Your payday is tomorrow, isn't it just like the whole thing starts all over again from then!? Mine sadly is not until next Tuesday, but at least that means I can't spend anything over the weekend :rotfl:
Good luck! I'll be checking in!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2026 Plan:- 25/26 Pension £3,000/£3,500

Morning!!
Glad you discovered MMM, he is awesome. I'm not quite as hardcore as him, but it really inspires me and has drastically adjusted what I feel should be important!
so it's payday! I've popped £5 into my car account (saving for next years car tax). Have adjusted my signature to match my MASSIVE credit card over payments this month..woooo hooo!Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
So I'm quite happy with myself. Went to a wedding reception over the weekend, and had to shop for some jeans (or any trousers/bottoms as I officially too fat for my current wardrobe...or my old clothes may have finally shrunk after nearly 10 years!). I managed to spend £40 in cash at the reception (budgeted, DH will owe me half when he gets paid) and got a discount on the jeans so spent £16 (ouch), I also purchased a half price necklace £5 instead of buying a new outfit for the wedding.
Very happy, all budgeted expenses and haven't spent anything else, which is good going for me around payday. The excitement of spending is waring off, and the excitement of paying my debt is very real. I paid a massive chunk of this month over £600!Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
Fabulous spendthriftiness! and fabulous debt payment too!
I must ask though, as it has been bugging me - your signature says 63% paid. Do you mean this? Looks to me that you have paid 36% off your debt to date and you have 64% left (rounding up from 63.5%)Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2026 Plan:- 25/26 Pension £3,000/£3,500
