Hi everybody, please can I join in for August.

I've been a bit over spendy in July and so won't be able to make my August mortgage overpayment so I need to claw back enough in August to keep me on track for September.

Goal for August: To meet mortgage overpayment obligations.

i'm in. aiming to pay off £2k of what I owe before the end of the year which will be a bit of a stretch target as I only have £200 spare per month!!

    Bring it on! :-)

I'm looking forward to owning everything I 'own' instead of having credit against everything - sounds trivial, but it'd mean a lot to me.
    Starting debt: £7,572 (15-07-13)
    Paid so far: £1,649
    Owed: £5,923 (01-11-13)

This is my preferred option and one I will be doing myself. But I like to give people the option especially as someone who is sat on their own begging might cherish a little hands on kindness. Even if we manage either option its the is rate of mind that I want to impart to look after others in any way possible and not just ourselves.
I would encourage everyone to take stock of Jacks list and see exactly how far your money can go! Thanks for this post!!

Good morning all. This post will officially open at midnight tonight but I wish to send apologies if names and wishes have been missed. I'm working off my iPhone with 1 bar of reception and have bribed MummyNSK to head to town in order to replace our Ethernet cable..( no broadband here folks ) so I shall be checking and rechecking the list tonight so don't panic...

    Thanks NSK..

I can and must do better. Still spending lots on food and groceries, when though there are 5 of us we could eat better. We don't do ready meals etc but even so...plus the drink bill is fairly huge.

I don't think this is a rule...but I really liked the maximum number of treats so I am adding that one in if that's OK. Max of 4...

I am going to work hard to EBay and also to come in at £200 under my groceries budget..we will be on holiday for some of this time so all the more reason to keep a tight rein on everything..
