This is one thing I love about the roads in Wales. When they put up a Slow sign or a sharp bend sign, they really really mean it and you'd better watch out. Even if the sign is half green with age, the pole is rusted and it's just barely sticking out of the trees. If it's there it means it.

Compare to Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire (I used to live in Aylesbury) where the slightest kink in the road gets about 20 of those silver on black arrow signs with a reflective yellow border, and sharp road signs, for a bend that could be safely taken at double the speed limit.

What happens is that on the few bends that actually do need some attention, cry-wolf-syndrome has kicked it and then it takes people by surprise... the solution? More and bigger signs!
