Nearly got taken out today after a roundabout.

There are no signs or markings on the road I'm thinking about to explain how the roundabouts should be approached at all.
It's a NSL single carriageway with 1 lane in each direction and no central barrier. (Most of the dimwits using it seem to think the NSL is 40mph but that's by the by).
It's 5 miles long and starts and finishes with a roundabout at each end, plus 2 more between them. All but 1 have exits at 9, 12 and 3 o'clock as you approach from 6 o'clock. The 4th has an exit at 12 and 3 only. The exit at 12 o'clock is to continue on the same road.
At the approach to each roundabout the road widens and 2 lanes are marked. There are no other markings or signs advising how to use the roundabouts. There are no lane markings on the roundabouts themselves, which are wide enough for 2 vehicles. The exits are all single lane only, albeit slightly wider at the roundabout before narrowing quickly back to a single lane. There is definitely only room for 1 vehicle at the exits.
People regularly cut the roundabout (taking the racing line) without concern for anyone inside them), use the left lane to turn right (!!!!!!?), ignore the right approach lane completely and drive round the roundabout across both lanes or get pee-d off when you use the right lane to go straight on because you're capable if taking roundabouts at more than 8mph.
It's a mess!!
ETA, Wikipedia says:
"The bypass, which is built as a single carriageway, with crawler and overtaking lanes around roundabouts opened in September 2010"Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
As you've not said (atleast not very obviously) I assume this is the Church Village bypass (A473).
And if it's got no central separation, then it's not a dual carriageway and the NSL is 60.
But this is in Wales, the roads are full of nearly dead people, with the odd young unemployed lunatic driving about.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The road I am talking about is a two lane dual carriageway, with a normal barrier central reservation. The roundabout in question only has exits at 0600 (my approach), 1200 (my exit) and 1500.0

It is, and I know. Sadly most people don't and amble along at 40mph oblivious. :-(Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I was in Dolgellau last week. The driving at 40mph seems to be people carriers, all the pickups shoot past at about 70 overtaking just before blind bends, and the lorries run at the govenor no matter what.
There's me frantically trying to ARAF enough to get round a 270 degree bend with a 500ft drop on one side (they don't waste paint in Wales, if it says ARAF, they mean ARAF) with a massive lorry nearly touching the back window.
Pull in to let him past and they disappear into the distance.
There is something seriously wrong with my drivingI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I've known a lot of slightly hesitant* women drivers but very few discourteous or dangerous ones. On the other hand, I've known a lot of men who I wouldn't get in a car with unless someoone first read me the Last Rights just in case!

Can you provide a google maps link?
Proceed North on the A228 from Ham Hill roundabout, until you get to the roundabout at Ladds Lane.
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=ham+hill+roundabout+a228+map&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x47df33a3c436ab61:0xcb6344fe5b8991ca,A228&gl=uk&ei=4qf3UYXeN8GBPcf_gHA&ved=0CC0Q8gEwAA
This map shows Ladds Lane as an exit, which is hardly used, as the petrol station which used to be there was demolished a few years ago.
I was proceeding North on the A228 in the inside lane. As far as I can tell the other car was in the outside lane for the whole of that stretch of road.0 -
I used to get cut up EVERY day by this roundabout while trying to get on the M1 south in Leeds..
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=leeds%23%5D&ll=53.776451,-1.471122&spn=0.002219,0.004823&hnear=Leeds,+West+Yorkshire,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=18
I actually emailed the highways and within 6 months the road markings were changed (as per the picture) as the whole layout was wrong..If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
^^ Here's one that's never changed and people ALWAYS get it wrong.
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=bromsgrove&hl=en&ll=52.355808,-2.045557&spn=0.000827,0.001985&hnear=Bromsgrove,+Worcestershire,+United+Kingdom&t=k&z=19
Heading in from the south, aiming for M42N, the number of people who come from the RH or middle lane and you cut you off is just crazy.
Then there's this one:
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=birmingham&hl=en&ll=52.492668,-1.889093&spn=0.001166,0.001985&num=20&safe=off&hnear=Birmingham,+West+Midlands,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=19
From the West, heading North, lane 1 Left onto A5127, lane 2 is Left onto A38 and 3 is right or straight on.
The number of people who go straight on from lane 1 (cutting up lane 2) is just insane, how i've avoided an accident there I do not know.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
