Ebay item listed, need to say buy to DS1 on FB and get grotbags to bed and read to him.

I'll probably see you all on the other side. Out most of tomorrow (DS2 his day surgery scheduled) but I'll take my tablet so you can all keep me entertained whilst I hang around.

I have just done a run around the whole house with the hoover followed by a swish round with the duster and polish. Bleached the loos, gathered up the washing and rehomed quite a few things into their correct places.

Just wanted to say a big thank you everyone, this is my first week flying with you and the house looks better already. I have a week before I go away on holiday and several deadlines to meet at work so getting the house reasonably sorted is a big help.

I have borrowed last weeks thread for some of my friends so they can see what its all about. Once the new week goes up i will be posting a link so we may get an influx of newbies. Hope thats ok. It is a private group so no-one else but us can see it. Its a group of Mums and Mums to be who need all the help they can get.

well, at the end of my week in charge (oh! the power) I have finished off by washing my hob, dismantling all th ebits and doing a proper job.

    I have appreciated being appreciated.

two teeny frogs have been dealt with. My herb-and-spice list has been updated (I keep a list inside the cupboard door so I don't end up with any more duplicates) and my handbag has been emptied and cleaned.

Valli did you achieve more being in charge? You have done a brilliant job and a certain flylady still has their summer holiday to come ;)

I DID get lots done, but, of course, I'm normally part time;)

What I still get from this thread is the camaraderie and the motivation and that comes from the knowledge that I can post the most minor 'success' and I will get a 'pat on the back' - in other words, an acknowledgement that it was worth doing.
That's why I'm still here - in a while (not that far in the future) both the vallikids will be at Uni and life will get lonely - there's also the issue that my parents will be getting older and I'm the nearest offspring.

I'm going nowhere because I am going to need my flyfriends as much as I need my RL friends.

Some of us newbies have known from the earliest days that we need our flyfriends as much as our RL friends. In different ways, but both just as much.
    Better is good enough.

DD is home, sunburnt!:rotfl::mad: I supplied her with SPF30 suncream (same stuff she took when she went away with school) AND aftersun so I've told her straight I have no sympathy for her at all. I have told her how to deal with it, and warned her not to do it again but thats it. She apparently spent quite abit of time at the beach yesterday walking the dog and stuff with her 'cousin' (her aunty's husbands nephew...does that make him a cousin, or a cousin once removed or something? I don't know I just know they're thick as thieves when they're together :rotfl::rotfl:) so there might be a bit of wind burn in there as well.

She's going back tomorrow (its her nannas birthday and they've decided to go out for a meal but DD had took minimal clothes and nothing smart with her so needed to come home to get stuff. If I'd known I'd have made sure she'd packed something!) and then spending tomorrow night at her dads as they'll be out late and home here again Tuesday. So me being all efficient thought I'd get her clothes washed and dried tonight so she can wear them again tomorrow. There's just one slight problem, her favourite pants have a massive rip in them! She says it wasn't there yesterday and to be honest I didn't look closely as I put them in the machine, but it looks like I'll be having a look in the sales for some replacement combats (anything to get her out of jeans!). Now I've just found a TD full of bits of paper so one of her jeans must have had something in the pockets again.:mad:

I'm giving up. I'm going to finish something I'm doing online and going to bed. I need DD to come to the shops with me first thing and we're aiming to have her packed and ready for 11am as her dad is coming before 12 to take her. Tomorrow is a new day, a new week and a new start....:p See you on the new thread.
