Mr LW's been to the monthly farmers market, he also stopped by the cherry farm and bought over 6lb cherries, so we've been busy stoning those. I've made cherry crumble, set some aside for my lunchtime fruit for a couple of days, and frozen the rest. He's on about getting some more next week to make jam with.:o

You could make cherry jelly -to save stoning the cherries or trying to get the stones out of the jam. It's what I do with damsons as thay are IMO too fiddly to make jam with. It would mean straining through a muslin but I can cobble a recipe for you if you like (assuming cherries are pectin-rich like damsons and plums that is;)

I needed to let you all know... I just cleaned my front door (little windows) inside and out for the first time since moving in 6 years ago! And the front bay window (third times in 6 years). I am proud of myself. Going to tackle a kitchen deep clean now(fourth time in 6 years). I know, I am a minger.

No you are NOT - but now you've done them you are well and truly trapped in the Flylady web;)

Well HHP was an hour Paperworking but the black bag of doom has been vanquished. Sorted, stored, shredded and thrown out. Small pile of 'to do' stuff from it this week.

Paperwork wise what do folk keep? I have to keep things from committees (I'm on 6 and secretary to 2 of them) but personal wise I'm not sure. I keep 3 years worth of credit card statements. Last year I stopped getting the bank statements on paper so that is going down. I keep all DWP stuff that I think is necessary as well as NHS stuff. TV License, Mobile phone contract, still have Woodys insurance and vet stuff (my cat that died in Dec) I should part with that but not able to just now, Landline and broadband contract, council housing & care. There is probably more but can't think what just now, even though just gone through it! :o

Pigpen - Happy Birthday to Squeak and I forgot to say loved the blanket

BonnieBumpkin - How did your half hour go?

LisaJane - Hope you made a lovely cuppa or drink of some sort after that. Bet it feels good to get it done

Just a quick update from me

    To do:

[STRIKE]Hetty LR, hallway, bathroom, kitchen & sun room[/STRIKE]
plant 3 plants in the garden
    [STRIKE]Get washing in [/STRIKE]
water the plants in pots & lawn (will do at dusk)

In addition I've hettyed the sofas and picture rail in the LR.

Must plant these plants in the garden, one of them will die otherwise. I'm useless.

Ds2 has been crying again as he has no friend. OH thinks he caught him asking the magic 8 ball if he will ever have one. Apparently I just make it worse.

I'm not up to date with thread so hugs etc all around.
  • so far today .....

    hoovered, hall, LR and stair
went through wardrobe and sorted what fits and what doesn't
    did some mending
WM on (and will be hung out)
Kitchen swept (and will be mopped)

Dancemum.. Tiddles didn't have 'a friend' either.. it was really sad, her friend left mid year 2 and she was end of year 3 and had spent all that time with no one.. we moved school and she now has 2 friends.. the difference in her is massive.

Squeak said she has had a lovely day and blew out her candles and got presents.. the best thing in the world.. the flower shape on the magnadoodle.. I love 3 year olds, everything is so simple.

After boring you all yesterday with my day of trauma, littleydog jumped on me while I was about to drink a hot cuppa. So today, I've been nursing scalds on my legs, and blister on my forehead from yesterday's burn. Add to that the great look of singed hair and eyebrows and I feel great!

So today, just the minimum dailies again as we went to see DS in his first 10k which he finished in 46 mins, then we had breakfast out and a relaxing afternoon.

Think I will read a some threads now, then a book. See you all on the next thread.
