evening everyone. I've just sat down to catch up with the fred and saw that there is a weekend list and panicked, but smiled when I read it. thanks Valli for stepping in this week.

Yorkshirelass - I also wfh and sometimes when the family are also around they just don't get it and think they can interrupt when they want. Sometimes, I resort to a note stuck on the door saying 'do not disturb, on a conference call'.

Piggers - the blanket is beautiful.

Natty - hope your cat is back home with you now.

Right then, flying: mmm, well I've done the dailies and am about to wash the dinner dishes. I have also today:

    Walked dogs
    Done a local shop
Sat in car surounded by a small riot in Beeston absolutely terrified till the police sorted it out (you know who you are Leeds & Brighton 'fans')
Watched Leeds almost to the end, decided to escape early to avoid possible repeat of earlier trouble, so missed the winning goal
Narrowly avoided setting myself and the kitchen on fire cooking the chops (think my grill could maybe do with some flylady attention)
Read the paper and munched a bag of sweets to make myself feel better again;)

right, the dishes won't do themselves and I am fast running out of spoon reserves here today. Busy day tomorrow too beginning with cheering DS along in the York 10k.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Evening all - I'm back!!

Had a good time (when not having to count to ten and take deep breaths due to mother!!) but it was very hot! 34 degrees at 9:00 at night is a bit much!

    Still, I have a bit of a tan! :p

soappie, Quillion and thifty - lovely to have you back; please stay :D

    Welcome to all newbies :)

I may consider looking at the list and seeing what I can reasonably [STRIKE]possibly [/STRIKE]do tomorrow ............

natty I really hope your wandering cat finds its way back home soon. Like others I've been out of my mind with worry about missing pets. I feel your distress. Big hugs xx

I've been out all day babysitting. I have money notes in my purse but I would rather have spent the time at home catching up with lists and spending some time with DH. He's out on a curry night with the same chap who had a leaving do a fortnight ago!

DS3 has another cricket match tomorrow morning. It will be a tight shave to get back in time to get posh frocked up for afternoon tea at a nice hotel for DSD's grown ups hen do.

The plan is to wake up early and get the ironing done. Someone throw a mule at me if I haven't posted by 8.30am.

Wow, Valli - that is some list!! Have handpicked a few bits to try and do tomorrow.

    Manic Monday - DONE!! :D

    Everything's Tuesday - Kitchen Klean-up

wipe all the cupboard doors and drawers
    wipe the microwave outside
    Clean the windows
Empty out ONE drawer, wipe it out and put back only what is STILL useful once it's dry

Wednesday Week - bathrooms and cloakrooms

    Clean the windows
    Mop the floor

Thursday's Child - hall, stairs, landing

remove anything that belongs elsewhere to be rehomed
    clean any glass

Friday on my Mind - your bedroom

    clear the floor
clear one surface - sideboard, occasional table, whatever
    clean windows

I popped in for a quick check to see what's going on.

Piggers... blimey - are you really pregnant *again*?

    not for long though;)

    Froddy
    - you are on HOLS you are excused;) If you must do something cherry pick BUT pick a MIX of pleasnat and unpleasant. F'instance I would ALWAYS choose to

    iron
clean bathroom (because my bathroom is beautiful and easy (well maybe not easy but when you enjoy a 'certain' task...
likewise kitchen - I mean, I put up with the kitchen-from-hell for long enough....
I like washing my Aynsley (looks very sparkly with not much effort0 likewise my glass (Caithness, mostly)

    hated jobs in valliland -
vacuuming - most of my carpets are reluctant to give up their haul of fur and hair
    drying pots

    oh

now I've sat and thought about it - that's about it....I like making it all look nice....

Valli thank you so much for stepping in to give me a week off - much appreciated.

ETA only just worked out the hidden links whilst rereading the lists - very thoughtful and clever

Most of the back garden jobs done, DS2 still working on bamboo removal butis making progress.

DH has finihed DS3 room and we have put his bed and him back in there! He iis not over the moon at present but hopefully once more stuff is in there and I have sorted a new blind, lampshade etc he will be happier.

DH needs sto start on DS1's room tomorrow so I need to start rearranging the upstairs of the house again.

The summer is going too fast.

Lots done: shopping received & put away, all fruit & veg washed, fridge sorted (old stuff flung), cupboards emptied, cleaned & restocked neatly (more old stuff flung), lots of rubbish out, lots of work done (researching & printing), delegated DD to sort supper & make (visiting) DS's bed, beat DD at scrabble (now she won't play with me again), laughed at silly stuff on youtube with DS, washed stuff, dried stuff, toenails & fingernails filed & painted, kitchen swept, sure there's more...

natty I hope your cat returns very soon and is sorry for worrying you

dusty last night I dreamt I was in your kitchen and you made me a white coffee - which I can't drink or I will hurl - I thought you were making tea so I told you I couldn't drink coffee unless it was black and you were not pleased with me :o:rotfl:

Love, hugs, sticks, spoons as required xx

Loved your lists, Valli, and thanks for introducing me to some new music - particularly Sunday.
