Home-seeking vibes for Natty's cat.
Drying and warming vibes for Valli's soggy baby.
Still working my way through finishing Thursday's marathon megawash; the last few bits of F's are drying in the sitting room - the forecast is changeable here. For the first time, I'm actually going to watch some filming this arvo - on the way to Moribunds for some beef for the tech's lunch or dinner tomorrow. The editor is preparing about 1hr 20mins of the film for them to watch. *nervous*Better is good enough.0 -

Morning all
Yesterday I decluttered DD to her grandparents up in cumbria for the weekend. First time I've been up there since Christmas 2007 and not much had changed really :rotfl: We went by train, in the morning, and then ended up spending 3 hours on the beach with family and their new puppy. It was lovely sunny weather with quite a lot of wind as well. Then I jumped the train home. It was only when I got in I realised I'd put the wrong SPF suncream on (I used 15 instead of my normal 30 as they're identical bottles and I was in a rush so didn't check which one I'd picked up!) so I'm the same colour as a post box which is wearing white glasses:( I did have plans for today, but I've postponed them for now.
So todays flying is all based on me trying to cool this burn down, keep hydrated and not do too much as its starting to hurt when I lift my arms. I'm applying cold compresses and copious amounts of baby lotion in the hopes it keeps the skin moist but not as sticky as the aftersun has been making me. I also have 2 full bottles of that, whereas I only have dregs of after sun
I have managed to do one washload, and I'm about to stick another in. I might throw in a third later when I've had another soak bathOh and I'm going to re-home DDs suncream (she can get away with SPF15 as she tans like her dad) so I don't get it mixed up with mine again!
Off to put washing on and get something to eat. I'm thinking a nice salad..Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Nicki - I store my aftersun in the fridge - put your baby lotion in there for a cool and moisturise at the same time;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

DD2 has the front and middle rooms to clear and vacuum and DS3 has the landings to do and the beds to strip.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Natty hoping Ollie Cat turns up safe and sound. Would it be an idea to get DH to ask the neighbours to check their sheds/outbuildings in case he hid in one and got shut in? Just a thought.
Grass has been minced, as Piggers would put it, and a towel wash has already dried on the whirligig.:T I did a desultory bit of weeding/tidying while Mr LW was playing with the mower, but I don't think I've had much effect on the mess out there.:(
Frog for the weekend is rack up the elderflower wine; I'll have to send Mr LW into the loft for an extra demijohn, and get him to do all the lifting. Making the wine was his idea, so he can jolly well muck in and do the hard work!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Box of random stuff sorted for charity shop so off out to do some errands (inclluding charity shop drop) now and drop DS3 to the men's cricket to watch for a bit.
DH painting away
DS2 hacking away at the bamboo. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Have done a few things:
Washed 2 bathmats and toilet mats
Toilet cleaned
Stripped bed and turned the mattress (so much easier now I have a memory foam mattress, although Mr TA did help)
Most of kitchen done just need to do floor
Had a bash at Tomato and Beetroot bread. Came out ok but need a couple of tweaks.
Made flapjacks for Mr TA, brother, BIL, niece and nephew who went fishing. Kept a few for sister and I for our night together. Sister and BIL made a huge picnic as well so no many flapjack eaten. Most of the flapjacks decluttered to Uncles the next day as he wasn't feeling too well.
Decluttered Cerazette to sister. I preferred doing this rather than putting it back to pharmacy where they have to destroy it. Decluttered bag I got Xmas smellies in to Niece to keep her nail varnish in.Sealed Pot Challenge 6 - 20580 -
Forgot to say ((hugs)) all round and hope that Natty's cat shows up. He'll probably come strolling in as if nothing has happened.Sealed Pot Challenge 6 - 20580
