101 was engaged, which was why I sent an email question. Seriously Skint, your inside knowledge is useful to know so that if it happens again and I want to follow anything up I know where to turn. My biggest problem would be that I've had this telephone number for 25 years and for the last 20 it's been the accommodation booking number for my theatre-type lodgers and for the last five years, the chalet, too. If numbers that are unrecognised were queried or blocked, I'd lose all my bookings!

Pigpen, I think your baby blanket is absolutely beautiful.

Lisa Jane, I don't go out to work, I work at home. I sit at my desk to put off Flying and I Fly to avoid actually sitting down at my desk to work. In between I do laundry to avoid the other two. When I bought this house I worked full time and had to spend most of every Sunday on catching up, plus spending a whole evening every week in the winter going to the laundrette because washing and drying five beds worth of stuff plus all my work clothes etc etc in the winter in the southwest was impossible. In those days I didn't have a tumble drier - I was given one, eventually, and it gets put to good use very, very occasionally now. I think the only way anyone can stay on top of it is to nibble away at the grossest bits, and as each one is degrossed, to discipline oneself to keep it under control. But if I were capable of following my own 'advice', I wouldn't need to be a Flylady!
    Better is good enough.

HB.. do you not have the option of blocking withheld numbers? It is easy enough for people to unblock their number so they can call you. TBH if it is just 1 call I'd not be bothered these types of idiot usually dial a number at random so it isn't like they will have your number saved on speed dial.

I have been grumpy and irritable today and the kids are getting on my nerves. I need to rant, sorry.

I work from home part time and I sometimes feel that because I am working at home everyone thinks that its not difficult, or tiring, or stressful sometimes. On top of that I am trying to keep the peace between my kids, keep on top of the housework, ferry the kids where-ever they need to be, manage a tight budget and a million and one other things at the same time. DS1 left his dirty washing on the bathroom floor this morning, next to the laundry basket along with his wet towel. I am afraid I lost it slightly. Sigh.

Like Valli we had a freak thunderstorm here and the washing got soaked. Its hot and sunny again now so at least its drying now.

Pigpen, that blanket is lovely, I have so much admiration as I could never create anything like that.

Right, off to hoover up some dog hairs and take my frustration out on the carpet!

like an idiot I put the washing back out. There is a mark on a sheet anyway; I am going to rewash it because it will be drier after spinning than it is now. I am wet through. I have, while waiting for PC to co-operate, sorted through stuff on PC desk; now have a pile of paper for recycling and a pile of 'windows' for the bin.

I have tidies the kitchen ironed most of the ironing and I miss my multi hanger thingy - the last one broke - brilliant for socks and smalls - I can peg them on it indoors then clip onto the line in a sleek, practised movement.

But my MIRANDA HART, MY, WHAT I CALL, LIVE show tickets have come.

Dusty (((HUGS))) Never something easy to do, is it; but hopefully all have shed most of their tears and can concentrate on the happy memories soon.

I've finally got to the tail end of my marathon email-reading (and deleting as I go;) ) so now I can have a quick look at today's paper before it's ancient history while Mr LW does his WiiFit.:o

Sorry Pigpen - it turned out to be a false alarm (local firm checking I didn't need to order anything, female member of staff with laryngitis having a dippy day.) I can't block number withheld callers; when I did so, the bookings dropped alarmingly.

I trotted the dog around the block after dropping of a pile of fresh laundry at the cottage and was wondering why the humidity was so high. Got home, thought about bringing the washing in and decided, 'Nah, give it few more hours, bring it in at bedtime to avoid the showers forecast overnight,' got upstairs and thought, 'Oh oh, that sounds like rain.' Which it was.

Thunder has just rolled. Lightening and all of that was due at 2200 hrs, so slightly ahead of itself. Laundry now draped all over the sitting room.
    Better is good enough.

I've washed DD's bedding with a couple of other bits including my Scout shirt and it's ran so I now have a pink t-shirt instead of white and my beige Scout shirt has pink patches on it! That'll be £20 to replace then!
