To echo the other flyladies, the blanket is lovely Piggers.
DD3 has been in a much improved mood, after I took her out for a drive in the car earlier. I told her I would only lift the ban on the TV license once her room was tidy.
Cue flying the like of which has not been seen since before the arrival of Skint Baby Holly!
Her room is ALMOST ready to hoover. She has been advised that once the hoover has been pushed round and I can crack out the V@x then the TV can go back on with a limited nagging from me to do her normal chores.
DD1 is off out in morning and going to stay at a friends house for a few days, DD2 is off out early afternoon for BF's performance in Grease and not back til sometime on Sunday.
So I just need to keep them apart til then.....hopefully DD3 will have a good long sleep and miss them completely.
As much as I have missed DD1 I have asked her to make provisions for next summer to stay in Wolverhampton and work over the summer up there.......coming back and being a child again under my rules is too stressful....she will just have to come back for an odd weekend here and there, and I have told DD2 the same thing for whichever Uni she ends up at.......then once DD3 as become the "eldest" by default hopefully her behaviour will improve.
Tonight I have decluttered the "Man" drawer in the kitchen (the one with batteries, screwdrivers, sellotape, pens etc in it) done out my make up drawer in BR (someone has helped themselves to my brand new colour correcting make up AGAIN....not even got to use this one once) kids toy drawers moved location so earlier to pull in and out and play with toys rather than creating a bottle neck and trip hazard at the foot of my bed (or that is the plan)
WM drawers and seals scrubbed, and then put through on a hot cleaning
cycle
TD fed to finish of the pegged out clothes that were in and out more times than a chorus of the Okie-Cokey today.
DW also fed and a sinkful of glassware washed up in a bubbly vinegar mixture
Toaster and toaster cupboard de-crumbed
Hob given a good scrub with a soap pad
Recycling and compost boxes all scrubbed and bleached
A big bin of DD4 nappies rubbed through and stuck on time to make most of cheap leccy :money:
Weeded and dug out drain hole in the middle of my drive
Bubble bath with Swimming Action "Action Man", DS and DD4 which DD4 thought was hysterical giving us her first real big belly laugh
Baby massage for both DS and DD4
Main bathroom de-gibbled, sink, shower, bath and mirrors cleaned -
Washed out bottoms of plastic laundry bins
wiped over fronts of appliances in utility room, plus obvious washing powder/softener spills
Half of Mount Foldmore sorted.....rest to do in the morning
Found plastic tubs for DS P0kem0n trading cards, pogs and !n the N!ght Garden and put them away tidily in the LR
Made my bed again
removed some blue crayon from bannisters :mad:
And that is it......now falling asleep at laptopamabob, so will check in again tomorrow :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Not much to report here; major thunderstorm in Herts at 8am then brightened up. At least I didn't have to water the baskets, containers and veg. Managed the gym (still hoping to fit into holiday clothes in 10 days time) - pilates cancelled so did aqua aerobics then didn't fancy getting showered, changed and re-sweating in normal aerobics so went to market, Sainsbos and filled up car with diesel instead. Persuaded market man to sell me 11 punnets of apricots for a tenner as I love them; now they get added to the list of fruit to prepare/package/find space for in an already full freezer.......pity we don't eat jam really.
Rushed round putting shopping away and generally making kitchen fit for hairdresser to come and perm me this afternoon. Planned to do lots of garden stuff but ended up re-cluttering bags full of ex-college clutter in the office as kind friend offered to come and put in new computer router and wouldn't have been able to negotiate all the clutter to reach the plug stuff. Thankfully and surprisingly for once, the "5 minute job" of putting in the router actually took 5 minutes.......unheard of for technology stuff.
OH birthday tomorrow so will make the aforementioned black forest gateau with cherries picked from the tree by the side of my road which apparently nobody picks from except me!
Hope all went well Dusty and gradually the family will remember all the happy times fondly and not just the passing.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning everyone, up early here. Well actually haven't slept much. My cat Ollie went missing last night - we couldn't find him at bedtime indoors at all so thought he was outdoors in the garden. But he wasn't there either. He's an indoor cat normally, only strays in the garden and has done for the 7 years we've had him. This is the first time he's disappeared. He never came when we called him. I went out the back in the alley and all around looking in bushes to no avail. Spent two hours last night just pacing up and down outside looking and calling. Stayed downstairs all night and kept checking outside and out in the alley nearly every half hour. Didn't help that it rained extremely heavy and we had thunderstorms and lightening last night, so that will probably have scared him too. I'm frantic with worry, keep crying and wanting to be sick. Hubby is pacing around, he didn't sleep though he went to bed. Just don't know what to do. Hoping he'll come home because it's breakfast time for him soon..although not sure if he can climb the fence as he isn't a climber or jumper. He normally has to go climb in stages.. Oh am so worried..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I hope your cat comes back soon Natty. Hopefully he's been having a ball while you've been worrying yourself silly!!
Flying has gone a bit by the wayside this week, although I have done some at DDs. I am planning to fly upstairs today, downstairs tomorrow and the garden on Monday before going back to work on Tuesday. I did everything so thoroughly last week, it should only need 'topping and tailing' this week.
Hope you all have something nice to do this weekend.

I've been AWOL this week I'm afraid! House is fairly tidy though - had to clean round yesterday as we had people round! Today I might attack the office a little - it's our 'junk room'.0
