I'm back.... but please can I just do sitting-down jobs for the rest of the day? Pretty please, Teacher?:D I'm fit for ab-so-lute-ly nothing!

Lovely day yesterday - we did a necessary run to @ldi as I was getting very low on grapefruit juice and can't seem to get it anywhere else, then off we trundled for a lovely few hours at Stowe Gardens. Mr LW did a lot of exercise, pushing the wheelchair.:D Pub lunch, then home for a ...."rest";) and a small blessing ritual, then a bottle of champagne and a candle in the evening.

But as I say, it's all left me a bit like a wet dish-rag. Done a WM load this morning, and hand-washed a dress, also prepped some stuff I have to post next week, and put post-its on with the dates I need to post the items.

I need to do a proper back up on my household accounts (going to do this weekly now, after the 'puter ate both the working copy and first back-up and I had to reconstruct three weeks' worth of transactions from paper dockets) and download photos taken at Stowe.

I also have a ton of email to wade through, as I didn't even switch the 'puter on yesterday.:o

Of course - you are excused PE. Now get a book and read:D

    Thinking of Dusty et al.

Taken DD and DD's friend to Y not festival - 38 minute drive took about an -hour-and-a-half because we got lost (no change there) ended up on a single track road *puzzled* but met a man in a car coming the other way and once he had backed into the passing place and I had sidled up to him turned out we COULD get that way. Anyway I have driven through Cromford, Matlock, Matlock Bath and Rowsley today (stopped at Peak Village for a 'comfort break'. And various other pretty places.

    Sheets on line

Indian for tea but will be Hm, with a bottle of korma sauce on offer at Morries.

sorry im late miss, i daren't put the puter on or it would distract me so instead i got a stack of my fave cds and spent the last 4 1/2 hiurs ironing. the basket is now EMPTY!!!!!!!!!

just got to put it all away now, i have taken a pile that looks too small for anyone and thats gone in the CS bag.
found a pair of DH work trouser that need mending so that on this aftys job list.
twice a year i like to empty the ironing basket. rule is the cases cant come down to pack for hols till ironing is done, and the tree and deccys dont come out the loft either till its done. done ask me why but it does mean twice a year i catch up on the ironing.

thinking of Dusty and family today

    hope all are well
hugs good wishes and positive vibes where needed

off to find the lists now and do something else,

I hate, loathe and detest wirgin media. The police say that in the first instance malicious calls should be reported to the provider so they can monitor the line. I've just been given the serious runaround by two different people at wirgin intacto, and the upshot of that is they will only secure the content of the heavy breathing recording if I upgrade to a more expensive service! I live in a Kafkaesque world.

ETA: I was so angry about wirgo's total lack of customer care and their taking of the opportunity to try to sell me something, that I phoned the offending number. Turns out it was the local stationery company phoning to check to see if I wanted to place and order, and the person concerned is a woman with laryngytis! In the end, of course, I had a good giggle with N who sorted it out, but it has been an eye-opener about the wretched publicity-seeking bearded one's company's service. Can anyone suggest a provider with great customer service, or are they all as bad as each other?

Lamewolf I don't back anything up anymore - I just send all my important documents to myself as an email attachment.
    Better is good enough.

Mrs Moneypenny, I share your pain! I have been ironing for 2 and half hours and have given up for now! The pile was mid thigh height so I'm pleased that is now about 20 cms high! Don't usually leave it that long but it's been so hot and I've been decorating.
I'm off to the charity shops in a bit and the library and Mr A for beer for DH's cousin who has got us a new car battery at cost and is coming to fit it tonight- lett's hope it will start! I'm a supply teacher and haven't got my next placement sorted yet so we are living on DH's money and the money I have saved to get us through the summer break, so I hope it works!
