Quick list update before I do some filing for paidstuff as I'm waiting until closer to the deadline before I submit. Knowing my luck a customer will ring at 9pm wanting to add something to their order!
DD has decided to "deep clean" her room...to her that means dusting everything and vacuuming the entire floor (except for the bit that's in the built in wardrobe and under her bed). She's also thoroughly dusted my room, and dusted the walls in the bathroom!I don't know what's got into her but while she wants to do it I'm letting her
Does mean there doesn't appear to be much crossed off the list, but I'm guessing that tomorrow is bedrooms so she's clearing that list in advance

Mid mop in the kitchen.. it is disgusting in there.. I WILL have it presentable by bed time!!
Worksurfaces clearish... bar the really nasty dumping ground one..
Floor decluttered and swept with my new brush
WM's stuffed with bits of washing
DW emptied ready for tonight dinner plates/pans to go in.
carrier filled with recycling.
Bin filled with rubbish
Walls sprayed with flash and I shall mop them momentarily.. at least I don't have to bend over to reach the wall
Hopefully I will get the majority of the blanket border knitted tonight.. I have about 18 inches left to do I think. I then have some lovely green stuff I want to knit up and finish DD1's purple jumper.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Eleventh load in the machine, twelfth prepared. I haven't changed R's bed or ours (or our towels) but pretty much everything else is done. The Met Office now tells me that it will rain overnight, but that tomorrow will be dry, so there was no need for all this panicky washing after all. At least it's out of the way.
Huge thanks for the peg discussion this morning - I had trouble last week telling R's washing from F's, and K's, and A's. This week they each have a peg colour and I know exactly which sock belongs to which person. Genius.
Lamb prepped for roasting later, spuddies peeled and parboiled, sweet potato cooked and mashed, spinach and broccoli ready for a last minute zazz and dinner will be served at 9.30.
The cottage sink ubend is leaking, the plumber will visit tomorrow, the oven repairer has been and replaced the fan element but says he can't do anything about the knac*ered door hinge (new oven required *wince*) and the stick blender has gone *pop* so that's the end of that. Other than that, the world is working just fine.
I need a bath.Better is good enough.0 -
DD chased into the bath - she eventually went 2 hours after I started the "go for your bath"s.
Mr A shop arrived, some bits spilt so they've been refunded, my fridge is full of fruitStarted on the Christmas food shop, just need to find a suitable place to stash it or DD will eat/drink it. Putting the stuff in the freezer I've discovered DD has eaten a 2ltr tub of ice-cream and then wonders why she has spots  I've bought a tub of expensive chocolate stuff for this weekend as a back up incase I don't make it to the cinema as planned, DD doesn't know about it so I won't say anything about how much she's had until Monday
:rotfl: I have about 50 carrier bags now as they decided to put 1 or 2 items per bag it seems and too much food/drink now to put away where it should be

Sew on any name labels for September - GLUE them into shoes
Do little people need optician/dental check ups? Get on that phone!
if you have no little people wash your throws/picnic blankets and/or cushion covers! dries in the sunshine they make a room smell fresh
SOMEONE needs to do someone's accounts and stop procrastinating. Who could it be? - I have some to finish as well.
Remember to keep eating froggies...yum yum
I'm off to juggle cupboards, things will get stored on top of them again, putting some water in the fridge ready for tomorrow and I best think about tea. Its too hot for what I had planned (especially as I've got my windows shut due to flying ants ) so I'll have to have a re-think. :wave:Then 'encourage' DD to get out the bath & get her stuff packed for tomorrow! Think I will end up finishing the list on Saturday morning for something to do at this rate :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening all
Car insurance sorted which was biggest frog of the day. Changed Co saved money, should get cashback so all good.
Cake one baked, need to do the next one and I'll check bank accounts whilst it is baking.
Then feet/toenails/pits all to be sorted for tomorrow plus iron shirts for DS2 (who is doing more maths study) and DH (who is painting).
Lemonade all round I'd say.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow, Dusty.0

Will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow, Dusty.
Ditto Dusty what Ionafan & others have said.
My GUAG has gone awol. My ironing basket is still full (didn't do it Saturday night) and glaring at me on the other sofa. Hetty is still on the landing where I left her Saturday afternoon. I'm disappointed in myself as I'm slipping into bad habits and may be an indication there is a BD in the distance. Kicks up the backside would be appreciated!
Some flying has occurred bit limited
DW on
Bin cleaned out.
Need to put bins out and water garden
Goodnight all

DD has just gone to pack her bag, I've just noticed the time so going to go for a speed bath & make my bed. DD and I both want certain tops to wear tomorrow..they're currently in the wash so I'll be flinging that load on before I get in the bath! I still have a million and one things I want to do before tomorrow morning, but I'm going to have to prioritise and do housework on Saturday morning
If I can squeeze anything else in tonight I will do. Why do I get the feeling I'll be falling asleep on the train home tomorrow?:rotfl:
