Right have caught up- missed being on here, it's nice :A
Today, I need to do the ceiling in bedroom and ensuite and then start on the walls. i'm hoping to get it finished for teatime so I can go to the pub for tea as I think I've deserved it! I will have saved about £300 by doing this myself:money: so I think I deserve one of these:beer:
My bathrooms are pretty good as I did them on Sunday so I think a bin empty and clean and a s&s will make them sparkle again. The ironing is being neglected while I am decorating so I may do that tomorrow and watch a few of my programmes as it is the rule in our house that I have the remote when doing the ironing:DCross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -

If your bin's been emptied why not fling the water from the mop bucket in the bin and 'agitate' it to loosen dirt, leave it upside - down to dry - a fragrant bin puts those bluebottles - and their maggotty 'offspring' off! --will do fridaySPC~12 ot 124

DH is WFH today. We've had a good chat about preparations for our Cornish holiday. I'm going to start putting a box together of tea, coffee, cereals, washing up liquid, loo roll etc. so we don't get stung at the on site shop.
My maiden has just been cleared so there's a big pile of ironing to do and a million socks to pair up. I'm going to get the still damp washing off the line and reload the cleared maiden. Showers are forecast here today.
Yesterday's frog (littlies bedroom) has spurred me to tackle another. I'm not sure what yet I have a real chorus of frogs that need dealing with.
I need to take DS2 shopping to get a suit for DSD's fast approaching wedding.
Im back to work on Friday so I have 2 days to frog chomp. It's going to be hot Tomortow so I may take the littlies to the splash park at Mald0n for a few hours. Need to be back early because DS3 has his first cricket match.
poohbear I hope your DGD is recovering. How frightening for you. Hugs.
CY I'm a bit jealous your DS is moving out. I think DD1 and her BF are about 18m from fledging the nest. I want to seperate DS3 and DD2 before he starts KS3 school in 2 years time. Someone needs to move out or DH will have to relinquish his study.
Good luck to all negotiating car insurance.0 -

there you go - a little reminder;) (blue text is a link;))
And, for anyone not sure THAT'S the thing about dealing with frogs - getting that chore done that you were so dreading inspires you to tackle another...and another...

Morning all, kitchen got done last night and Mr A arrived this morning.
Plan this morning is to go get rest of party stuff, collect a book for MIL, get stuff for DS1 for football club. I'm hoping it won't take too long.
So flying will have to wait until after lunch plus I need to get more tip stuff together it will be going in the morning..:j
poohbear I hope your DGD and you are both ok, very scary thing to see.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Right, the 2 runs on the gloss have been dealt with (not bad for 7 doors ) everywhere is sheeted and the paint and ladders are ready - wish me luck, I'm going in!:rotfl:Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0

Only just found this thread- I've been lacking in motivation to keep going on what seems an insurmountable amount of work to do in the house, I love this idea!
Starting on the bathroom then, and my frog will be sterilising all the bottles for our homebrew.
Hoping this will stop me killing myself trying to get everything doneSaving for my first car: £300/£3500!0 -
Morning all.
Got sidetracked yesterday and didn't do much flying. Did manage to get to Mr As but then DD was moaning she didn't feel well and wanted to come home so I forgot half the shopping. I will have to see about getting a delivery tomorrow but I'm on DD's laptop ATM and she wants it so I'll leave it until later.
I did manage to have a sort out of my craft stuff and I'll be passing on a box of crafting bits to my sister, which then freed up 2 drawers in a unit meaning I can put my "to sell" and postal stuff in there and means once I take the stuff to the charity I'll be rid of 5 boxes of clutterI'll do the charity run on a dry day next week so we can walk it
Quick list update then I'm going to go and do MY ironing, uniform & household stuff can wait.
Personal :
Sort work orders
Clear ironing pile
WM x2
Living room
30 minutes? as above plus-
- wipe switches, sockets and sticky door marks
- vacuum properly - move that furniture if you safely can
- lift sofa and chair cushions and vacuum under them
- as above plus complete dusting - don't forget the skirting boards! - need to wet wipe the skirting board and dust the TV unit which is why this is still here!
- Clean the windows
- Sort out cards for November and December - we're sorted until the end of September, then nothing until November when we have twins, ex's sister, and my dad. At least they're the ones I'm responsible for organising
Going to leave them until closer to the time so I can also add some Christmas cards into the mix
15 minutes?
A tidy room LOOKS like a clean room so- remove anything that belongs elsewhere to be rehomed
- wipe over the worktops
- mop
- wipe switches, sockets and sticky door marks
- wipe all the cupboard doors and drawers - don't forget the handles
- wipe the microwave outside - put half a lemon, or some lemon juice in water inside, let it run for two minutes then leave the steam to soften gunk, wipe it out
- make sure every horizontal surface has had a wipe
- wipe the washer door seal
- make sure your TD filter is lint-free - DD's job - she loves doing this :rotfl:
- Clean the windows
- Empty out ONE cupboard or drawer, wipe it out and put back only what is STILL useful once it's dry
Beautiful bathing will be yours - bathrooms and cloakrooms
15 minutes?
- flush the loo and scrub it
- wipe the outside of the loo with a cloth
- clean the bath
- clean the loo roll holder - remember people might have 'less than clean' hands when they're wrestling with the paper...:o
- wipe or dust all high horizontal surfaces - door tops
- clean the basin
- Clean the windows
- Mop the floor
- If you leave creams, potions and lotions open to the air they WILL deteriorate much more quickly. Make sure all tops are screwed on after every use. Check the use withins - and chuck out those dust-gathering body scrubs etc that you don't use!
- Add anything that's running out to the shopping list - don't forget the loo roll!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
