Thanks to this thread my kitchen is looking better than it ever has even though its a horrible 60's carbuncle and desperately needs remodelling. I was so pleased with how it looked I went and brought decorating supplies for the bathroom yesterday and stripped the wallpaper with the plan to start decorating today. When that is completed the hall is next. This may mean dreaded plastering:eek:.

I had fallen out of love with my home in recent years having no money to put into the upkeep of it but you guys have really inspired me again and just the tidiness and cleanliness is motivating me to love it again. Thanks:T

Now off to give the bathroom paintwork a good old scrub before painting.

CY - when I first moved out I had no idea about cooking [still don't] but if there had of been decent kids cookbooks around like there are now I would of started with them - we have a couple here for my kiddies and they have some good recipes in :]

Flying today will involve a deep clean in the bathroom cos its not very nice in there

    Morning everyone

I have a couple of hours work to do on my paid job working from home, then its into the bathroom to make it sparkle. I also need to do some more paperwork for my voluntary job as well as ferry the kids around and sort out my budget for August so its going to be a busy day. Onwards and upwards!

DR has been cleared and hoovered and new table and chairs have arrived. They don't fit where the old one went so we'll have to have a bit of a move round in there. It needs hoovering again though as there's now bits of polystyrene everywhere.

    Morning all

Poohbear - any news on ow your DGD is?

Drizzle here right now but forecast is for hot tomorrow so I'll strip the beds then and plan early gardening, that should help me focus today.

DS1 maybe coming home on the 18th so if I want his room decorated I'm going to need to do it myself. Aim will be to spur DH to get DS3 room done by the weekend and his bed and DS1's in his room if they will fit. I will then next week paint all the bare plaster, I shall insist on DH rubbing it all down and then I shall do my best at painting. I want it nice for DS1even if all the finishing touches etc need getting when he is back, he can come choose.

WM is on, going to finish the shower room then go up and have a shower before hairdresser comes.

Not just me doing the encouraging, Fuddle - this is a MUTUAL support thread. The proof is in the quote!

Have to say, Parsniphead - when I hated my kitchen it was a chore to clean it. Now it's a labour of love (but I did have a new kitchen fitted;) - it had white worksurfaces  the ONLY way to get them clean was neat bleach:eek:

I have run the DW overnight (well about 6ish) I have read a bit more of my book (The Ragged Trousered something-beginning-with-p) I'm finding it hard going tbh, probably because it's not a 'story' as such. (note to self - stop looking at progress status bar on kindle;))

Today I will eat a couple of frogs (bank account and clean out handbag) as well as flying. And popping bubbles, rescuing pets and crushing candy;):rotfl:
