Hi all, I haven't been out at all - enjoying time with the family and getting sleep where possible as ds moved into his own room and trying to establish a routine with him for when I go back to work.
Not sure if I'll be out this evening or tomorrow as need to check with hubbie so we can get back to alternate days.
I'm very impressed with all your runs, well done everyone but brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's cold!0 -
Sorry you havent been able to get out evab...running keeps you warm though so its better than being out walking around
Hope you get some in soon...0 -

Well done Idio just for getting out there in what sounded like horrible conditions. When I was doing long runs in marathon training (several years ago) I used to find that it was the boredom that got to me eventually. Every credit to you for doing 13.8. Not many people would have even had a go in the conditions you described.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

I get that - I want to give up thing too, usually about a mile or two from the finish - I try to zone out by thinking about how I'm going to post my finishing time on here and what exactly I'm going to write...stops me thinking about the pain in my buttocks long enough to get back into the rhythm again
You know, the discipline of having to post on here has made me get off my lazy backside once or twice as well. I don't want to be thought of as a 'giver-upper'!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Chick - I dont think any of us would think of you as a 'giver-upper'!!!!!!!!! But I have to agree about the motivational aspect of posting on here0 -

I know that feeling, we have a little lad who sleeps in his ow room but likes to join us in the morning and an 8 week old thats still in our room, so trying to balance running and feeding can be a bit of a challenge.
No running for me over the weekend, finished off the christmas shopping, so probably put loads of miles in just walking the shops LOL.

Great running there idio - as everyone has already said, it is all good stuff!
I ache after yesterday's run - it is easing up as the day progresses but nevertheless I still know that I worked hard yesterday! Can't run this evening but will go out tomorrow evening for a steady run.

Met hubby at lunch-time to take his kit to him so I can go for a run this evening, fitted in a mystery shop just after I met him too - very mse!
So planning to do 4 miles, hubby is going to write a training plan for me so I have more structure to my progress.
Will check in to report this evening!0 -
