Ahhh thank you - I feel like a fog of ignorance has been lifted!
That would be seriously boring anyway as a training plan - one of the best things about mine is the variety0 -

LSD = Long, Slow, Distance. ie Just get the miles in the bank regardless of speed and build up the strength. Unless you've got a good grounding of LSD you can't handle the rigours of quality work in the training plan.
Ah, this is great news...I didn't have an easy run today, I had a great LSD session...sounds much better0 -

no running for me since Tuesday, but I have got rid of the majority of my cold I think, so worth the time out. I did go to the gym last night and was given loads of core strength exercises to do to help my running. So with my amazon voucher I got from qype, I will be buying a swissball and some handweights so I can do the exercises at home
No running today, but doing my longest run yet in the morning......so saving my energy.

Morning All!
Thanks for good luck wishes Chick - they certainly came in handy!
Well it was tough, scary and pretty painful but I did it - 14 miles over half a marathon completed
And even better got slightly under my target time and ran the whole thing in 2.15 - just got to try and skate this evening now hmmmm

What an achievement!
The furthest you have EVER run and, like you say, quite some milestone when you first go through that half marathon barrier and realise you are still alive on the other side of it!
2-15 is a great first time as well, so well done all round.
The skating could be quite a challenge though!:rolleyes:Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
