Mon10/11 7.0 Miles Brisk Walk
Tues11/11 3 x 1 miles 7:27, Abandoned, Abandoned (V. High winds)
Weds12/11 10K (Abandoned after 2 miles - Virus?)
Thurs13/11 10K 55:37 (Pulse 96)
Fri14/11 10K 52:30 (Pulse 118)
The virus may still be lurking but certainly not having much effect. Today's was the fastest 10K so far (Just) on a 118 pulse so things are functioning pretty normally and there should be no problem with carrying on with full training.
I'm so glad Wednesday's run was sacrificed - it potentially saved a lot of unnecessary coughing and spluttering!

Now, I don't really think that's the case, but just wondering - what's the advice on trainers? Keep them for as long as they're in one piece? Change them after a certain distance? I've done about 250miles in mine now, but they still look pretty newish (albeit COVERED in mud lately) What about sorbawotsits? Do they ever need replacing?
1,000 miles for a £20 pair is my benchmark - 2p per mile.
Although there are people who spend £100 and do 200 miles - 50p per mile. Its cheaper to drive even with today's cost of fuel.:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Brilliant! :rotfl: :rotfl: So you will start at the back and work your way forward? You will be soooooo sick of weaving in and out of the fancy dressers, run-walkers and general plodders after you have overtaken that many people! It never ceases to amaze me in the really busy races like GNR how people think they can just stop dead and not expect someone to crash into them.
And presumably you will be doing this dressed as Tarzan or something?Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Erm no!
As it turns out, this will now be the warm up race for the marathon 3 weeks later.
It will take about a 1-25 half marathon or so through the crowds to reach the target - a novelty day out!:p
To put it in perspective though, I have overtaken 33,500 with an official time of 1-35 which was really a 1-26, so I'm fully aware of what a pain in the !!!!! its going to be getting through!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
