Although I will say Appetite is an elsevier journal anyway...so its a case of publishing research for the sake of making money rather than because it does anything interesting!

1.9 Impact Factor though isnt bad - but interestingly it doesnt say which categories...hmmmmmmmm

Sorry I came over all workish then ;) and its my week off!

Did my four miles htis morning - same route as yesterday and managed to take two mins off to 38 mins - which I'm impressed by since my legs were tired today on the last bit of hill! At least I know I can do proper hill running now :)

Um speaking of Leeds - they actually recommended Headingly(sp?) as nicer - the town centre is full of chavs apparently! Especially on a weekend...nope they dont do bellinis in spoons but they do do great cheap food :)

Sorry Idio - I dont get what you were trying to say - I've runners high please intrepret for me?? :(

Stop splurging gobbledegook all over the place - my brains aching now.:p

Impressive strength building, coping with 200ft elevation hills like that - there won't be anything like that in Venice when we run there together or is that 'together'?;)

Re Headingley - you didn't see my last post last night did you?

I'm off to scour these racing plans now to see, if people entering the same races may be up to 'things', what kind of couplings(or more) maybe brewing. I've got to say that Jun 21st grouping is looking interesting - what with sharing of rooms and the participants often seen to address each other in affectionate terms!

You just never know what happens when the OHs are out of the way, do you?;)

If I were to say "The last three weeks, I've had an average of 7 eggs", would you think I meant 7 eggs per day, or 7 eggs per week?

Was just being pedantic/penickety/a knoob :)

There's nothing wrong with being a pedant - except when you get called on it and are wrong - oops! I get the feeling you can't wrong foot Rich too much!

Rich - its not rubbish if you work in the industry - just because a journal is peer reviewed doesnt make its research necessarily good is all I was trying to say :), I'll ignore the rest of your insinuations about whats happening at the meet...why whats wrong with headingly anyway??

Sally - good luck at the docs today!

    Good running everyone!

Stop picking on me for asking what everyone else is thinking mister!!!

It's a far cry from meeting in Leeds to a weekend in Venice!

Keep it to yourself, we don't care and TBH i'm not that interested really, just nosy!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Nothing wrong with Headingley - its just not in Leeds, so involves buses or taxis.

Headingley is where all the students live so its always going to be where they recommend - The Skyrack would be probably high on the list.

To be fair, Venice is only provisional for me, based on getting under 3-15 in Blackpool.

But being flat and in October, ie half way between April and April, it looked the ideal race to fit in between.

  • Just a quick one from me to say that I never did get round to organising a 5k in November, so you can take that one off the list. Continuing to plod along but struggling a bit with general winter-feeling-crappiness.

BTW can you remove me from the Jan/Feb 1/2 mara, Rich? I eneded up settling on the March Lydd 1/2 mara instead of (not as well as!).
