Morning all!
Just back from my hill run and fresh out the shower - no I'm not stinky anymore!
Did 6.5 miles in 1.10 - but I got really unlucky with the 3min lights at the top of constitution hill twice and managed to catch every light on my way back so I reckon about 1hr without all the stopping!
Anyway the hill was fun as usual and I tried my best with my pulse taking - best estimate between 118-120...
Chris - Ill take a look at that tomorrow (payday!) - send me a pm to remind me if I dont! I think you are mad doing that one so I'm happy to sponsor you.
Hope everyone's run go well

Well done, Becky - session finished before the rest of us have managed to become conscious!
That sounds like a good solid workout- less than 1-10 for an overall 6.5 mile hill session shows that you must have been doing some good work during the hill sections.

Morning all.
Was hoping to do a run this morning, but came up against a very rough team in footie last night and have a sore knee and foot. Hopefully it's nothing. Will have to wait until tomorrow or possibly the w/end for my next run. At least I got some good exercise in the game!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

:rotfl:. There are a few teams in that league who aren't very good. In many cases this means they make up in aggression what they lack in ability! Everyone pushes and nudges a bit, but these guys were ridiculous. I'm surprised the ref let them get away with so much of it.
Am currently thinking of a "see how far you get" run at moderate pace this Saturday or possibly Sunday depending on how it feels. I need to find out where I am at the moment as it's been ages since my last run.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Hi coach,
Thanks for offering to put together a plan for me. Firstly, I have found an ideal target race. It isn't a big race but it is very local to me. In fact the start is about 5 mins from my home. (For completeness, it is the Chernobyl 10k in Preston 25th Jan 2009). On Sunday I am doing the Accrington 10k. I believe the Accy race is hilly (never done it before), like all of East Lancashire! I am hoping/expecting around 60 mins but I will keep you updated with that.
I can run 3-4 times a week but some of them will need to be shorter runs as I have to fit them in around my son. At the moment I have been doing one run of 1 - 1.5 hours per week, plus 2 shorter ones of around 3 miles. I also have access to a gym where I can do work on a treadmill, or up to one hour on the running track once a week whilst my son does football training. I suppose ideally I would like to do one track session, one longer run and one other run, with an optional extra run if I can fit it in.
We should be able to do something with that I'm sure.
I have to say, your fitness training is going brilliantly. The difference you have made in just over a month is phenomenal! And your weight loss is fantastic too. You must be very focused. Well done. :T
Thanks for your kind comments Chickadee!
So 25th Jan is the target.
I just need to know which days are these available slots? Is the 1.5-2 hours Sunday for instance? And when would the potential track session be midweek?
Its all a matter of working on strength and speed in the right mix for the event you are targetting. Talking of which what 10K time would represent success on 25th Jan?
Can you PM me an email address also, please.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Under the thumb, I would imagine - whether you realise it or not!:p

She loved it, altho she went on a bit of a downer when i suggested that there probably wouldn't be a HSM4, on account of them leaving high school....
Personally, i thought it was, well, everything you'd expect from the brand... take that as a bit good and bad! lol!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
