. Just ask yourself if there is anything you have learned from the run.
Yep I expect too much too soon of myself....! Also running when you have been up in the night for hours with a child never gives a good runI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

It might be a little scary, but considering you only took your first tentative running steps in June and you're now doing 10 mile runs I think you can feel confident that another 6 months of solid training will get you to your (secret) target!;)
One of the best things about it being a secret (apart from Coach who knows obvisouly!) is it doesnt even matter if I dont do it!
Thanks though!, I'm really excited - remind me of that in 3 months when I'm moaning about training in the cold and dark!

Does anyone else get a little addicted to mapping runs?
I've done two in the last two days, my hilly 10k and a *really* hilly 11 mile route...Just can't wait to get out there and try them both...just need to find the time...0 -
Ooh, and hi everyone! etc by the way

We're focussing on a point more than 6 months away, a lot of the work will pay off later on in the program, much later, so its just a case of doing the sessions, recording the results and moving on. If this week was slower than last week it would have been OK.
Thanks, I do have to keep reminding myself that its still a long way off and that each run is progress! Have to say I alway dread the fartlek sessions as I know I have to work really hardI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. in case anyone's interested..this is what the new long route looks like (it's actually 12 miles...).
To put it in context, I normally do runs varying between the height at the start and the two mile mark, so this is a big step up - seems like a good challenge to push myself0 -
Well it seems to be doing the trick. reducing my milage slightly but ensuring I get out more often. I am running about 5 miles every other day at the moment. We are terrible at following our own advise aren't we? It is so tempting to rush back to what I have been doing before, but I know it to be counterproductive. Anyway my longer term goal is the Edinburgh Marathon and I have 7 and a half months for that! Must look out for a 10k in November though.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0
