Slight Disasterous run this morning...Becky think you are jinxing me! Went off on some pace and by mile 3 legs, lungs and mind had given up. Was really hoping for a good one but guess these things happen. So only 3 miles out of the 4 miles completed.
Just had a look at my min/mileage over last weeks and this week runs 9.21 m/m last week and 9.01 m/m this week so at least there is some improvement!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sally the pace is amazing though!
Dont worry about it, we all have these problems - you did an 8mile on Sunday right? Probably just your body recovering from the amount of miles you're pushing it through...I'm sure Rich will confirm shortly.
I only realised last night - but I've been running less than 6 months - think I might have been expecting too much too soon in terms of progress.
Anyway, there's still more than 6 months training to go before London - plenty of time to lose 1 mile!

There is no such thing as a disasterous run Sally. Well perhaps if you pick up a bad injury. You cannot expect it all to be plain sailing and you managed to get out there. Just ask yourself if there is anything you have learned from the run. Also you have noted your improvement.
We all need to be focussing on the positives. Well done!

Sally, you are coming on nicely. Improvements will come but don't expect to conquer the world overnight.
We're focussing on a point more than 6 months away, a lot of the work will pay off later on in the program, much later, so its just a case of doing the sessions, recording the results and moving on. If this week was slower than last week it would have been OK.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Becky
Due to broadband problems yesterday, I didn't get chance to congratulate you on your FLM place, Becky.
It might be a little scary, but considering you only took your first tentative running steps in June and you're now doing 10 mile runs I think you can feel confident that another 6 months of solid training will get you to your (secret) target!;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
