DFW Type Running Tip Just To Find Something To Post About!!!!!!!!!

With cold winter months coming up there is no need to buy gloves for those cold runs.

Instead, when you start getting holes in a pair of running socks cut the ends off, then use them to cover your hands on runs.

When you get to the point where you would normally take your gloves off, all you have to do is push the socks up to your wrists and the jobs a good 'un.

when i ran my RFL i wore a pair of old black socks to keep my arms warm as it was peeing a rain and lashing wind... (no, not more toilet talk! this is weather reporting!) and yes, i chucked them in a bin half way round!

now i have some nice posh technical long sleeved tshirts i won't be needing socks on my arms anymore....

i took a pair of normal gloves with me on saturday run, but in the end i had to take them off as hands were sweaty... i dunno if my technical fabric ones will be better, i hope so, as carrying them is kinda annoying. i hope they have come in todays post.....

Gosh, the financial markets are really in panic today.

Since the 'bailout' on Friday Wall Street has officially 'crashed' in 4 hours of trading. What would have happened if if the bailout had been rejected?

It seems all ideas so far haven't worked - anybody got any bright ideas?

The FTSE is only 30pts away from a 'crash' today, the first crash in years. Jeez!

I vote we suspend trading for a month, give everyone a chance to cool down, put everything into perspective, take a deep breath, chill out a bit...in the meantime we could make motivational speeches ("I mean *come on*, guys!"), that kinda thing...

I vote for banning buy backs of their own shares by companies and banning stock options for staff (which is what causes the buying back)...

The rest is an overdue correction anyway...

    I like your style!:p

It doesn't get the banks moving money around again though.

I think it needs a man with a stick to go to a beach and draw a line in the sand!:p

It's either the end of the economic world as we know it or a storm in a teacup!

The jury is out - but the verdict is due soon!

PS It's the biggest one-day fall in 21 years, and thats after all the falls that have gone before!

I'm going with media-hyped storm in a teacup, but I'm rarely right. Good job my occupation doesn't call for great judgement and decision making...... :o:o
