Maz thanks for the link to tchibo...I have one in town so might pop in and try stuff on before I buy (trousers are likely to be too long for a shorty like me!) Def need some more tops as I am having trouble keeping on top of the washing!

Sally - i think the running stuff is on preview on the internet this week.. so won't be in the shop til next week... altho what date it changes i dunno.....
3/4 tights would be a good idea for a shorter person  if you wanted to try those...

i had swimming club tonight... it went well... i have pretty much decided that i will not go back after the last lesson next week as i have improved loads altho i know i would have more to learn if i stayed on.... Stopping will be good as it will mean i can maybe squeeze in that much needed 3rd run without compromising the wifely duties!!!

haven't had my half mile swim this week as mum wasn't around to early babysit.... bummer as i've really missed it.

when i was swimming tonight i could really feel the power in my legs, which is a strange thing to say but it was like i could feel the link between my running and swimming for the first time...
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)

Thay're not, no, as you have different targets and starting points. But you are aiming for the same race on the same day, so there will be quite a lot of similarity!

Yeah Becky you are much faster than me to start with and I think you have more days when you can run (I only have 3 runs a week) But hey lets hope we a) both get a place and b) make it around!

Oh Just had a look at FLM site and Virgin Money are going to be the official sponsors from 2010. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it does it?

Ah okay well its quite nice knowing that when I'm slogging my guts out on Sunday and dying from pain I won't be the only one - be thinking of you Sally!

Okay I'm off to map my run to find a route for Sunday - :T:T:T:T

Good luck to you both Sally & Becky. Whilst you are doing your 10mile runs I will be fighting my way around the Great North Run. I wish I could say I'm looking forward to it, but my training has been inconsistent (to say the least!), I don't feel ready for it and the weather here has been awful, hailstones, wind and rain so i hope it is better in the North East. The only consolation is that I have raised a lot of money for charity. Here I am on my justgiving page: http://www.justgiving.com/sueandjonathan (Not begging sponsorship. I just thought I would share my pic :D )

I got my charity t-shirt yesterday, which is at least made from coolmax fabric, not cotton, but I have to say, is a bit on the tight side  . I'm still wondering whether to wear it or not because I haven't had a chance to run in it yet and I wouldn't want any uncomfortable chafing :o .

Oh well, must get off and do some work.

Btw, I have entered the FLM as well. We should be finding out if we have got in this week shouldn't we? If I don't get in in the ballot I won't try to get a charity place. My friends and family are starting to cross the road when they see me coming because I have done two sponsored events this year.

    Enjoy yourselves on Sunday!
