Not another Brucie fan - nooooo

Oi you - I've seen Brucey live at Wembley. The week before Live Aid - gosh that sounds a long time ago.

One of the best live performers in my book.

PS And yes you're right - it is due to being old! :p

Have to say, I like a bit of metal/nu-metal when i'm running - something good and angry...listen to a fair bit of "vintage" stuff too, the who, stones etc.

And a bit of hiphop/poppy-dance - something wth a good beat tromping through it...

Ohh Idio - if you're a hip hop guy - I have the best live version of Dizee Rascal doing 'dance with me' from glastonbury this year - also good for running, but just generally great...

I got a current love for Alphabeat when I'm running - 10,000 nights is the best running song ever!

Ooo I can feel a 'name your best running song' afternoon coming over us...

    I love that song :T

I don't generally run to music, I find if I do, I get distracted and walk out in front of cars etc :o

jinky - on a serious note, well done on the sports bra... what did you get? (and whaddaya mean, what was live aid... you ain't that young missus!!!)

Re - andrew WK - Big G has that and i think if you started running to party hard (or whatever it's called!?) you would pass out by the end of the song....

a good running song doesn't have to be mega fast does it??

i think summer of 69 would be good, or maybe some madness... would bring a smile to your face....

Red - do the one ear thing, it raises your awareness of surroundings, while still getting the benefit of music....

not sure if it is recommended but it has to be safer....

I might ask for an ipod for xmas....

It depends how fast you want to be running, really :) I really find that my pace-rate (if that's a thing) soon adjusts to the speed of the music...without noticing I'll run a good 1-2minute/mile faster on a quick song than a slow one. Of course there are other factors - how motivational the song is etc..but that's my general experience.

On the longer runs, though, I find the *very* most important thing is just the "goodness" of the song...if I can *entirely* forget I'm running for 3 minutes, it's a *great* running song...
