Thanks Sally/Rich/Spud!RichOneday wrote: »Congratulations! You'll get addicted to that feeling - good isn't it?
That is quite an improvement though - great to hear!
I'm really not sure what happened there - weird eh?
I was determined to run steadily round once, without slowing down to virtually a walk, and I was so pleased when I managed it. Then I found myself thinking that I'd better check if psychologically I could set off round again, or if I would be better to just find a longer route. So I decided just to run down one side. But weirdly I didn't feel any worse after that than I did at the end of the first lap, so I thought 'just one more side'.....and then suddenly I was running down the last side and could see the carpark!
I even ran up the road to the car, although when I got there, my legs were seriously turning to jelly.
But it's the first time my muscles were knackered before my lungs, so I think that's a big improvement.
My first lap was a minute faster than my previous best time though (although the second one wasn't!
)
Going to stop rambling now.....I shouldn't be allowed endorphins..... :cool:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I remember running at school (yes, I can remember that far back) and occasionaly, it would be as though I'd got into a zone. I didnt get out of breath, and felt like I could go on for miles. It happened a few times, but I never knew what I did differently

I've got to say one of my proudest achievements must be getting endorphin reporting accepted as the norm.
And long may it continue.....
