    :hello: Evening!

Please don't laugh, but I did my LONGEST RUN EVER today - 1.5 miles :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: okay, actually, you can laugh.

It took 22 minutes!!  (you can laugh again if you like...:o)

So, what do you reckon? Am I a sleek and sexy running machine yet? :D

Don't knock it, thats great progress!

Speed is irrelevant - once you've done 1.5 you will keep progressing, just don't rush it.

    Well done.

    Thanks :o

It was quite hard going, mainly because of the HUGE quantity of midges flying around (it's a reservoir), making breathing in a generally fairly hazardous occupation. But other than that, it was a really nice place to run, so I think I will go back there on Sunday morning.

If I go round it twice (once running, once walking), then gradually build up to being able to run right round twice, does that sound like a good plan?

I think that would be roughly equivalent to 5k? (Blimey, that sounds like a looooong way!)

    That sounds ideal.

And yes it does often get to the point where you think 'Wow, did I really do that?'

In fact, it happens pretty much every time you've been further than before.

Bur 2.5K running plus 2.5K walking is a decent session in anyone's books.

Right, that's the plan then. :)

Another quick question, sorry (as you're local) - do you buy your sorbawhatsits online or in a shop (and if so, which one?).

I tried the White Rose Centre today, and the shops that didn't look at me blankly (KNEW I shouldn't have tried Monsoon...) either didn't have the right make, or had one pair in a size 12 (who the hell has size 12 feet???).

I don't mind ordering them online, but I suppose I was being a bit impatient and wanting them NOW! :o

    Thank you kindly. :D
