You can get plenty of "hip pockets" too, that sit under your clothing and are just big enough for your keys and a phone...

Personally, I've got a wee camelback classic I take out on longer runs - has enough space for these things (I like to have a phone if I'm gonna be a long way from home...) and saves you carrying a water bottle, too...

I like my O shaped bottle... it's like a comfort blanket...! if i run without it, i feel naked... i don't drink much when running but sometimes the act of taking a drink can restabilise my breathing... usually i finish the drink off in a one-er when i'm walking back to house car in last 2-3 minutes...!

Camelback, idio, you are such a pro!!!

Maybe i should get a bumbag like an american holiday maker! lol!!!

Maz, you've just strayed off course a bit there. You're a proper runner now, not one of those posers! :p

ooh Beinerts - I want to play now, I havent played for ages....:( 7-7 sounds like a great game! I love it when they are close and you really have to work for each bit of possession...

It was a good game, we seem to be in the perfect league for our collective (and my personal) ability. You never walk all over the opposition and neither do you get drubbed every week. It's evenly matched and anyone can win it if they play well enough and work hard enough. You don't get lazy when you're winning and you don't all but give up when a team is thrashing you. A good balance.

Do you not have a team at the moment, then? What kind of format (5-a-side, full 11s?) and level did you play at? I'm sure you can find a team looking for new members were you are.

The two aren't mutually exclusive! You can be either, both or neither! Must say I like all my cool Nike stuff (freebies in a compo), but I wouldn't go out buying loads of swanky stuff. My shorts have a cool little inside pocket for my keys and I don't take a phone or water* with me.

    * maybe not advisable, but I tend not to get thirsty and normally just fill up slowly after I get home...

    Ooo thats so interesting Red...

God box is so impressive - makes the boys eyes water tee hee, I always start flat on the ground when I try to do it and push my legs back (like you do when stretching with someone else and they use their feet to push you into it)...but still I can never get all the way to 90 degrees - very annoying!

What a very good party trick!
