    i know pompei is volcano city but i kinda assumed that portsmouth took it's spelling from there too.... :whistle: <pedant!!>

    Yeah, it's Pompey as opposed to Pompeii. To be fair you were somewhere between the two. Sorry, don't know why I'm being such a pedant today. Promise I'll stop now!

  • unrelated topic - i bought a smoothie in somerfields... strawberry and banana reduced to 50p (from £1), use by 12th September.... it's fizzy!! not good i think, shall i take it back... am going past later anyway.... or do i forfeit rights as it was yellow stickied.....?
    I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
