In other words, you can do it in future, but you're at the back of the queue? Well, I'll nominate you as our club member to take up one of our marathon places if we get it set up...
Can't believe your son booked and paid in advance. I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I paid half last week and will pay the rest next week. I'd have thought the venue would agree to move the date if he talked to them.

Oh HWGA... i really don't know what to say.... your son appears to be a bit of a !!!!!!! i can't believe he didn't figure in his mind that there might be something going on in april and he should check his dates!! does he not know you at all?!?!?!
I assume he realises how much this means to you, we certainly do and we're not related to ya..!
Is there no way at all he can change things about... or is he inflexible?
You're right in that you have to be there, but my istinct is that he could make some enquiries about moving it back or forward a week if he really tried......
Whatever you do, don't stop the training or give up the london place yet... maybe we will need to find you another marathon to transfer to and you can carry on fundraising...... london may be the biggest but it they are all as much of an achievement in their own way... what about the great north run in October next year instead? i know it's only a half, but it's just as high profile........ you'll raise just as much money, and maybe not kill yourself in the process....!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
