Well done Pania! How exciting we will have our own DFW team to cheer on!
If other are still looking for places I recently had a mailing from Christian Aid asking for marathon runners. Also ACTSA (Action for Southern Africa) has places.
Please could someone post a link for that online route-measuring thing. I am trying to work out 3 mile routes to practise.
I ran 2.5 miles (estimated) this morning in under 25 mins and only stopped to walk once - very chuffed!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Think thats it! Had a pootle this a - walk run around the pond thing but was a bit pathetic as knee hurt so only did once round but may go again tomorrow! Def NOT entering the marathon this year! It really is tempting but IMO foolish for one whose only been 3 times & will put pressure on so am going to resist! Reading a couple of good books though so will let you know how on get on with them!
Just found this and it made me cry! It was the bit about dedicating a mile to people you knew that got me....

Just one piece of advice please from the experienced among you! I'm unsure about streatching & think I need to do it but unsure what to do! I have a slight pain behind my knee (to the right - sort of where the groove is/top of muscle feels like!) & wondered whats best to do with these aches & pains - massage/cold/leave it/streatch? Any ideas please?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
