My shoes should all be similar weights so hopefully will just be abit touch and go... 2/1000 now but I am reluntant to list to many as I don't know postage!!
I've put it at £0.99 + £6.00 postage(recoreded) with a message saying I will refund any excess the shoes are in a shoe box and are probally just over a kg idk.
Just sold some shoes myself in boxes. These were £4.20 sent by myhermes. Think its over £5 at the post office.0 -

Shoes are likely to have to go as a medium parcel and the minimum price for that up to 1kg is £6.75 signed for 1st or £6.30 signed for 2nd. if they go over 1kg then it will be £10 1st class signed for and £9.10 2nd class signed for.
Up to 2kg can go via MyHermes for £4.20.
Never ever guess postage especially now you are paying FVFs as well as paypal fees on it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Changed it to Myhermes, and will carry on listing now
thanks Soolin, that could of saved me a bundle/loss.
I can't imagaine Royal mail are actally benifiting from these new postage prices as without actally knowing I bet a massive % of their business is Ebay and businesses who are likey to seek the lesser price through other means... I can still understand the average person sending a parcel doing it for convience but I would really like to know if they have been making more money since this change or if everyone has just gone elsewhere!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Had to give a refund this am, someone said it was not as described  I disagree but for the sake of the cost of the item (they didn't ask for postage back) and the hassle of having to give a full refund on return and risk of bad feedback, I just gave them their money back. Got 25 items ending this am but only 2 have bids and no watchers on the others
but looking on the bright side at least I won't have loads of packaging to do. 0 -
Well 4/1000 listed
4/1000 sold.
Sold 4 pairs of shoes, two for 99p (although they were all the same but dif sizes) and the other two for 6.50 and 7.70
Can't really celebrate this early though as shoes are an *** for returns...
On plus side I have just realised I have two pairs of the same for the £7.70 so sent a 2nd chance offer...fingers crossed
Edit: might just be being impatience but the 7.70 hasnt paid and the 7.50 2nd chance hasnt accepted even though they were both online at time of auction ending ;_; will be abit gutted if neither pay at least as that was my highest one lol.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

postage prices have gone up up up.... i fell short, sold a number of items on ebay only to have a chunk of my profit destroyed by the postage!!
great advice.... CHECK POSTAGE PRICES0 -
I have been selling and =forgetting to list. uh oh will try but i notice i am so slow at this! I think I'll just update my signature and not keep the list going as its probably dull to read howe many shoes and bits I'm selling!
EVERYONE is welcome, come one come all sell sell sell and make that money. Mind you, who'se doing the buying? ha ha
Post prices can be awful, especially if you sell a big thing for a little money
I sold a picture frame and it was a really good one and it sold for £18 but it was broken in the post and now I have to claim for it from the PO
Not happy. Will still count it in my total though, ha ha Listing 1000 things on ebay 48/1000 (952 to go)0 -
Had my first experience with MyHermes...it was really nice having someone come to the door and actally take the parcels away....
Just thought it was worth sharing I didn't have anything to wrap the shoes in but bright blue wrapping paper...so I turned it round and it actally looked really professional in this white paper....but when the buyer opens it they are going to be in for abit of a suprize!!
Have complety re vamped what I am already selling on Ebay (run a small business but have added international postage, re done listings abit etc :-) )
So tomorrow will be listing loads more shoes...not actally sure if I would be making profit at 99p sales tho but I suppose if some sell for over a fiver maybe I should just be happy it evens out? I.e Paypal charged me 33p for my 5.29 sale (4.20 postage) plus listing fee..10p...plus ebay charge 12% of total now? 65p?
So its cost me £1.08 + £4.20 to post = £0.01 profit
....
But the other one sold for £6.50 + £4.30.... ugh?People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
