Hi all I haven't forgotten I should be doing this buts it hard in the summer hols will get on better once ds has gone back to school. Having said that I need to make a start listing I have been sorting things out to put on now the bx is full so I must start getting rid of it, think I will do 3 day listings just want it gone now.
Am I right in thinking that all pictures are free now? Sure I read that somewhere. I think that's worth paying the commission on postage for as things always sell better when u use lots of photos and it was expensive before.
EDIT: started, just listed 11 items - only 989 to go!0 -
Just checking in!
Listed another 100 over the weekend and sold 13 items. I'm just basically re-listing unsolds and adding a few new items each time to build up a 'database'. Strangely, the baby clothes don't seem to be selling at all, maybe postage puts people off.
Getting fed up with it all hanging around the house though, so it's off to the bootsale this week especially for heavy stuff.0 -
My best item that had bids and 10 watchers was taken off by ebay today due to a listing violation, apparently I had broken some trademark! I have no idea what I have done wrong I always try to list things honestly and fairly. I have emailed them to ask what the problem was.0

The trademark or VERO programme is difficult to get to grips with. Certain brands for instance do not allow their goods to be sold on eBay unless by a recognised reseller. Other words are trademarked (according to eBay) like shabby chic .
Otherwise it may well have been in breach of one of their odd rules , like no knives (including household cutlery sometimes) .
Whatever you do you must not relist , that warning will show as a strike on your expanded dashboard and another one may well get you restricted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would like to join please. I have a few bits on ebay but these are re-listed as just not selling. I will keep listing until they do! I am going to list clothes and each listing will be for 99p unless free listing days when I can put more expensive item on. I have a new seller account and have restrictions of how many items I can list each month but that's ok. Think its around 50 items at last count.Lucylema x :j0

Ah hell I am going to join but I warn you (if I can bloody sell them) I am kind of cheating as I have about 100-200 pairs of shoes I need to shift but never get round to listing them....
But hopfully this will give me some motivation to do it.
0/1000 so far

I listed a few more bits last night and re-listed the ones that didn't sell. Out of 20 listed 7 sold, but it did average out at about £1 per item listed so happy with that. Need to get on and list some more as I'm never going to make £1k at this rate. I sent some by my hermes, I must say I was very impressed collection at the door is so much better than queuing at the PO (which unfortunately I still had to do as some were cheaper to send RM)0

I don't have a scales so its so hard to work out postage prices + they've comlicated.
My shoes should all be similar weights so hopefully will just be abit touch and go... 2/1000 now but I am reluntant to list to many as I don't know postage!!
I've put it at £0.99 + £6.00 postage(recoreded) with a message saying I will refund any excess the shoes are in a shoe box and are probally just over a kg idk.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

My scales are one of my most used gadgets for cooking and ebaying
Anything that is over 8cm tall (ie large parcel) will probably be cheaper to send carrier. Personally I would send the shoes via carrier.0
