    Hi

I had a sale today. I almost forgot what one was like!!!

I did also have another a few days ago, but I don't expect to sell a lot at the moment as I have recently thinned out my books, so that I only sell books that make me at least a few quid. It's not worth the bother storing the cheap ones, in my opinion.

At least now when I get a sale, I know it's worth my while!

It's really weird that everytime I've had a whinge on here I sell a book, I sold another overnight, just a little £4 one but it all helps.

Sorry - uncorrected proofs and promotional copies aren't allowed for sale on Amazon. :(

GreenMet is www.greenmetropolis.com another bookselling site. Every book is sold for a standard price of £3.75 (including p&P). The seller receives £3 of that and has to pay postage out of that amount. (if the book is particularly heavy the seller can add a surcharge to cover the postage.) Proof copies can be sold on there too. :)

Depends on the book! They might be worth trying on ebay... some authors' proofs are highly desirable.

    Hi freyaluck.

Before you think about taking the proofs to a charity shop I'd give them a go on eBay. It's surprising what people will buy on there and you may make a nice little profit from them. You can always donate them to charity if they don't sell.

GreenMetropolis is great in my opinion. Listing the books is a doddle and everything is just so straighforward:j . I've sold loads on there, often run-of-the-mill novels which wouldn't be worth listing on Amazon for the little profit they'd make. The downside is that sometimes books can take months to sell(it depends on how many copies they have available) but if you've a lot of books listed and they are in excellent condition it's probably a regular trickle of sales. They can stay on there as long as you like with no hassle of having to relist after a certain amount of time like Amazon.

    Good Luck
