I don't think I'd be posting pics or stories of something like that happening! Though if I had done that I'd want a nomination for a darwin award!

If anyone wants the full story, PM me and i'll message back with the URL, as am not sure the board mods would be happy with me posting a link and don't wanna go getting kicked off!

It was the big warning that made me look!!!

I think you should let the others in on the 'story', you'll probably get loads of sympathy just not too many requests for help with DIY.

    FFM :)

Well, let people be warned! If you are a bit squeamish don't even read the story, and what ever you do, don't scroll past the warnings on the bottom of the page!
    OK?

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Could not have said it better myself :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, Rupert, not laughing at your 'predicament', but what a lovely way of describing it.

Just remember where you saw it first! It will be all the rage amongst the kids next summer!

It was quite unbelievable how easy it was to drill through bone, though the drill bit was sharp, I didn't realise I'd gone all the way through until a few minutes later. The entry wound has almost completely healed up now, though the exit wound will be around for a few months yet. The tip of my finger is still a little numb and the note to excuse me from the washing up s still good for a while yet! ;)

Anyway, this isn't getting any books sold or listed!

I've just struggled back from a book sale (actually I phoned OH for a lift in the car as I had a few boxes full)...I don't know what I have really as I was grabbing anything that looked OK. They were so pleased iI bought box loads that they gave me the lot for less than a fiver..rather stunned a little old lady next to me who was charged the same for a handful of Mills and Boon!

I'll probably list them tomorrow and sort out any that are rubbish and take them to the charity shop on Monday.

    Hi

I have today been left my first neutral feedback (3 out of 5) and I am really p*****d off!

I sold a cd and the buyer contacted me to say they had bought it on the basis it was an American import not the UK one I had sent. I hadn't realised I had made an error but rather than quibble about it or make them return it, I said to keep the cd and gave a full refund.

They have left 3 out of 5 and said 'wrong cd sent but refund offered'. I didn't offer a refund but gave a refund and my full apologies and they kept the cd!! Is there anything I can do to remove this feedback, or do I put it down to experience?

    Thanks

    Donna

Hi Donna, I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong but I think it is increasingly difficult to get amazon to remove feedback and technically it may be you who got it wrong if you listed a UK Cd when the item was an import. I think they would say it was materially different to the listing?? Did it have the same Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASIN) as the product you listed it under?

You could alsways email the buyer very politely and explain how the neutral affects your feedback and ratings, it was an honest mistake and you think you acted very fairly offering refund and for them to keep the CD..... If they refuse or don't reply then you can respond to their feedback and explain that they got a refund and to keep the Cd so your side of events is there for other buyers to see. You can also leave feedback so that other sellers can be wary of this buyer.

Otherwise I'm afraid there's no pleasing everyone and you just have to grit your teeth and move on - bad luck though.

my good run of sales had the cherry put on the top today , logged on to find 4 sales (a minor miracle in itself ;) ) 3 to the same buyer, nearly pooped me pants when i read this,

    Postage & Handling: £20.82
    Total Amount: (£219.82)

    Less Amazon.co.uk Marketplace Fees: (£32.67)
Less VAT on Amazon.co.uk Marketplace: (£4.90)
    Total Due Seller: £182.25

Some American with more money than sense bought my highest priced book at £115, and then 2 others at £35 and £49.

Sadly I have to split the 'profit' 50/50 with my sister as it was her books I sold, but still my payment account for this fortnight looks healthy :rotfl: Amazon are going to think im on the fiddle as its gone from £20+ one payment cycle to £200+ the next !!

Think i better release the fairy now, shes done her bit for me ;)
