Ive searched twice now for these (i had a look when you first posted but didnt see much point telling you nothing ! )
all i can suggest is either sitting on them for a bit or create a listing and price each one around £60 mark and see if you get any takers,
sorry pants advice, where are all those bloomin experts ??

Dunno if you're referring to me, but i'm busy sorting out a few thousand books to put on my stall at Glastonbury. I'm setting off in 24hours so haven't really got time to do book search thingies at the moment!Do You Twitter?

I've no idea either I'm afraid, how about asking on the Amazon sellers connection board? - I hear that they don't bite at all
Rare - doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me, books are flippin heavy! I've done a few antique fairs in my time and boxes of china can be heavy but boxes of books are murderous to be dragging in and out of a vehicle. I used to envy the jewelery sellers who could pack up and load one trolley and be on their way long before I'd finished bubble-ing up my stuff0 -
Good luck with your expedition Rupert, I've been following your thread on the Amazon Discussion Board, sounds like you're going to have fun.
Do people really buy books when they are at the festival? Do you get better than boot fair rates? I'm not planning to become competition, just down right curious as to how you do what you do and if it is worth it commercially or whether you are really just an old hippie avoiding the entrance fees

Hi Guys
Another plea for help.
I have begun to relist my books but they are coming up with the new listing ID of the date I list them - this means that I dont know where they are in my garage. Is there any way of keeping original listing ID - im getting very stressed now as I will have no idea where to find books. Am I doing something wrong? I am relisting them from the closed listings page.
Please help I'm tearing ny hair out here.
Thanks0 -
Help again please!
I have a book - cloth bound - called Legends, Stories and Fables from the French" Collected by Harold Nicholson & Illustrated by R B Ogle Published 1934 as far as I can tell (no reprint date) Pub. Independent Press Ltd. Price 2/-
Cant find it anywhere on any of my searches. ... any ideas please???
(later that day ...)
Also!!! Book called "Dingy and Pips, Limited, Detectives" by Anton Lind. Pub: Sampson Low, Marston & Co ( purnell?) All the ones I can find are dated 1961 1st edition but mine has a presentation plate in the front dated 1941. It certainly looks much older than 1961. Several b/w plates inc frontispiece. Books list in the back listing other books in the Sampson Low's Junior Books - all priced about 2/6 some cheaper. Am investigating those @ the moment but pointers would be very very welcome!
Hi
I've looked long and hard with all sorts of searches and can not come up with anything. There are other books available by Harold Nicholson but they don't seem to be listed at very high values. I would be tempted to follow Mishka's advice or alternatively email Bloomsbury Book Auctions and ask if they have any suggestions - if it is potentially valuable they will get back to you.

Oh dear! I don't think there is anything you can do on this, the listing ID is generated on & by Amazon when you submit the listing. Howabout adding the old listing ID to the end of your description??
Sorry, it's not what you would like to hear.

Guilty as charged!
I haven't paid for a ticket since the early 90's and only missed one festival in since then, also never had to worry about entering the ticket lottery necessary to get a ticket these days. Previously I volunteered to work on various activities which guaranteed me entry and an invite back the next year and have done this for over 10years now. This year is different as I wanted to take my partner who isn't well enough to do the voluntary work and it's a great opportunity to get a better price and a faster turnover on all those penny books that are barely worth selling for on amazon. I'm having to 'employ' a couple of staff so my partner doesn't have to work and give us both a little time off to enjoy the festival. Such is the nature of the festival and the passion of people wanting to attend they are actually paying a small amount to work for us for no payment!
With 170,000+ punters, + staff, performers, site crew and volunteers bringing the total number of people on site to over 1/4million, and trading from the Wednesday Morning to the Monday it certainly is a lot larger than any carboot you possibly imagine! I don't know the exact figure for the number of stalls there, but they are numbered in the thousand. Many people state the variety of the markets as second only to the music on offer. If you look at the map I linked to on the amazon thread you can get an idea of the size of the markets (not sure I'd be allowed to post the URL here as it could be seen as advertising!)
Anyway, I'll let you all know how I got on afterwards and you can keep updated by following the link from the amazon thread if you want!

I hope you both enjoy the festival, it does sound like you're mixing lots of pleasure into the 'business'. Good luck with the selling, I hope you come away with an empty van (except the ones that you're going to post).
Best wishes.
