Today has been a very good day, in-laws not able to give us the full 10k at the moment but transferred 2k this morning
So I have paid off the unused overdraft (they didn't add any charges), I have paid the Argos card in full (need to phone back on Monday to close account after payment cleared, and left the rest in our current account (will sort out getting rid of this overdraft too.
My son and I went Xmas shopping and have brought the things ready for the hampers and the hampers themselves, so far spent £40 on the 6 parts of the family. Next weekend we can start making the things to go in the hampers.
I also spent £20 on an outfit for work, since I haven't had any new clothes for ages.
Feeling a bit more relaxed in terms of being able to see a clear balance in the current account which will help with budgeting, but can't relax too much as still have a long way to go and the next debt to start busting.

Right off to bed, not been sleeping well and waking up at 0400 every morning which is weird.
Checked cc balance and the odd £3.88 was driving me mad so have paid this little bit!
Feel really enthusiastic towards bringing down the next debt.

Good evening, having a few minutes before I sort out things for work and school tomorrow. Hope do the weekends go so quickly?
A busy work day tomorrow but only if ds is feeling better in the morning as he has been rough over night.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I submitted the final meter reading before the next gas/electric bill was calculated, it resulted in a reduction of my monthly payments by £17, excellent!
£5 on the scratch card today, so have paid this off the credit card. Nothing selling on fb selling page, am loathe to eb*y as nothing worth putting on for the fee costs. I'm sure there must be something else I can do to earn some pennies apart from surveys etc.

Morning, at home again today as household full of lurgy so I've taken the opportunity to write the letter of complaint to tax credits and phone Argos to close account.
Need to do a tidy up of house and clean to try and get rid of these germs and some warming soup to put some vitamins back into their systems.
Not much else happening money wise.

Good afternoon,
Brr getting a bit nippy up here, love seeing the snow on the hills and mountains as I drive around whilst on my visits.
I've been busy ordering the kids Xmas prezzies, I went through Qu8dco of course but frustrated that many of the sale items were only available in store so I did actually pop in whilst I was on a visit in the area.
Later in the week I'll be getting the ingredients to make mini xmas cakes for the hampers, hubby is working all day Saturday so the kids and I can get on in peace without him eating the mixture!
I've been thinking today that I really need to get into gear properly in all areas of my life and everything whether it's work, studies, home, finances etc. needs overhauling, simplifying where possible, sorting out and getting focused on our plans.
It's not enough to rest and think that things will just happen, I need to make them happen. I need to start now.
So one of the things to get sorted in the attic where dh and I sleep, it's a bit of a dumping group and our clothes are not being looked after. I was going to buy a hanging rail (can't get a wardrobe up there) but them saw one going for free on Freegle. :T Picking it up tomorrow then can really attack that room.
I actually managed to do a couple of sb surveys today so that total is starting to build up again. I need to set myself an amount of time to do these things and then get on with other stuff.
I'm currently doing a foundation degree through work so need to get on top of the work, especially since we're going to also have to start another course in the new year on teaching basic skills. I'm going to be so busy with all that and my coaching course too.
Sorry for the ramblings it helps me to focus and identify what I need to be doing.

Well today is a fab day on the forums with 2 people becoming debt free, very inspiring and congratulations well deserved.
I've made a payment to the credit card so another small reduction, I'm just about to write my lists ready to shop tomorrow for cake ingredients and a few other bits and pieces.
I need to build the hanging rail tomorrow so I can start to sort out the attic, my weekends are never restful always something to do!
Another journey to add to mileage claim for the month, 113 miles to go to a conference than had to go back across the country to a meeting at the office. Hateful patronising person I had to talk to, glad I don't have to work with her everyday.
Anyway chilling out now with the kids, now to look at Xmas cake recipes...

Phew it's been busy round here, Operation xmas hampers is in full swing. Yesterday the kids and I made the mini xmas cakes and the body scrub, and I have started making a little gift for my nieces.
Today will be spent putting marzipan on the cakes, clearing up the kitchen, food shopping, sorting uniform and bags for tomorrow and who knows what else I can find.
I haven't even started the attic yet, wardrobe is still taking up residence in the kitchen.
Right best crack on.

Cakes now have marzipan on them, need to leave for a few days and then icing to go on.
Yesterday I brought gift cards to go in the hampers, dh said we should get another present for each person to go with the hampers but I said I didn't have time to go shopping and we couldn't afford it either which is why we are doing the hampers! So compromised and got gift cards, dh company is part of a scheme where you can get discounts on purchases so I have ordered the cards through them with an 8% saving.
Nothing to add to debt at the minute but not spending apart from necessary purchases either, next extra payment will be when I get my next expenses pay in the next couple of weeks. That's a lot of 'next' sorry!
Less than 2 weeks to fit in appointments for work as the final week I have 2 days leave then will be working at home for the rest of the week. Christmas countdown has started.
