Very very excited, just paid off Very account in full so £175 less debt to my name!
Need to be careful with the pennies until next payday.

Payment to Very has cleared so will ring them tomorrow to close account, I've redeemed some SBucks so £20 on it's way to paypal and only need a bit more to redeem another tenner. All of this will go on to the overdraft again!
Sent old phone for recycling so will wait for confirmation of price from them, other little bits and pieces adding up nicely. Need to have a scout around for more bits and pieces to eb*y.
r.e. the overdraft I think each time I get up to another £100 then I'll ask for it to be reduced therefore reducing the temptation to use again, need to make sure I factor in charges to my sums so I then don't go over!
Feeling quite positive at the mo, lots to do but heading in the right direction again.

On a rollercoaster for this debt busting journey, no sooner were things going well then more expense. We have got to change our car and since we have no savings then this means getting finance , we have spent an absolute fortune on the thing over the last couple of years and it still isn't right.
So off out tonight to see what we can afford (nothing really) and just have to scrimp and scrape every penny.
I have finally managed to find a dress for the wedding next week, had a nightmare looking and trying to keep costs down, managed to get one on work selling page for £10.
In other positive things, waiting for cheque for mobile recycling, have requested £30 in PayP*l from SB and edging nearer and nearer to other payouts.
We will beat this

We have found a car it's going to cost us £155 a month which I am not relishing but needs must, it could be a couple of weeks until we have it as they have to transfer the private plates back to the original ones which may take a couple of weeks. The only benefits will be that I'll have a 3 year old car, it's only done 25,000 miles, the tax is £30 a year and it's a 1.6 diesel which means that fuel consumption should be a little better. The garage is giving it a service and doing the MOT as that is due in October anyway.
At least I will be able to relax a bit on my journeys, I just hope that our current car survives until then!
In money saving news, which seems a bit hypocritical in the circumstances, I have hit the target for a payout on N8wvista so £50 should be on it's way soon and we should get back a bit on the road tax from new car as it will have had the old plates on it.
Absolutely manic at work and back to studying in a couple of weeks but need to make time to do another look at our outgoings to make sure we are getting the best deals for everything.

Long time since I posted but so much has happened in the last couple of weeks with the car, I picked up our new one yesterday and it's a great relief knowing that it's not going to breakdown on me (fingers crossed). We are still waiting for the plates to be changed then I can get the tax rebate.
I had to go to Cardiff on Monday for work at last minute so had to scrape around for the train fare, hopefully get this back tomorrow then I'll put it into the overdraft. I paid in a cheque from the mobile recycling today.
I still need to rejig all my finances and put in the new car payments which start in October, but overdraft is still the focus at the moment.
My hubby is away on a canoeing trip with a friend from Friday for a week so will be cheap meals for me as kids eat at after school club during the week. I get paid on Friday and have noticed how much cheaper some food are at H Bargains such as chickpeas so will be doing a stock up shop there at the weekend.
Haven't had time or the focus to do sb much this week or anything else to be honest and have so much work and studying to do it's ridiculous!
Need to organise, plan and refocus on all areas of my life. I may need a cheeky bottle of wine to help!
Ooh btw friend's wedding was fantastic, my £10 dress was lovely and hubby got his suit for £100 because he's fussy but at least he will be wearing it again next May.

Pay day today, need to pay minimum payments to 2 credit cards but I have managed to pay some cash into the overdraft and asked them to reduce the limit to £400 so the current balance is 380.20.
I have to claim my train fare by expenses so won't get this back until next month now and waiting for this months to be paid.
Need to sit down after lunch and work out finances for this month and get all the school envelopes sorted, ds is at home today with a sore throat and cold so can also catch up on the mountains of tidying and paperwork.
I've received some fabric dyes in the post which is fantastic as I was going to change the colour of my lounge curtains so have saved a few pennies, just got some salt from HomeB and will be doing that today as well.
Car is fab, took my parents to the airport today and felt great, so all in all feeling positive despite the extra expense of the car.

I've been paying off little bits and pieces into the overdraft so gradually going down, they still haven't reduced my overdraft so will have to ask again.
Current balance is -£316.43, getting there.
I still haven't had time to do surveys etc. as so snowed under at the minute with work, nothing else happening money wise so will just keep plodding!

woohoo just change breakdown cover for new car and small refund of £15 to come so will put that on overdraft when it clears.

Refund from breakdown company has already been paid so I have transferred to the overdraft, the balance is now -£292.35 although I hate seeing odd numbers so I've just sent a little extra payment to round it down to -£290.00!
Nothing else happening at the minute, I'm conscious of the 0% ending on my Argos card in December and there are 3 more child benefit payments until the end on the year so will allocate this money so I don't pay any interest and that will be another debt gone.
So hopefully by the end of the year I will have paid 3 debts off and can start attacking the credit cards again.
I have also started shopping for Christmas, aiming to buy one present a week within weekly grocery shop but today I picked up 3 for 2 so that will help a bit. I'm going to be really unimaginative this year and buy a set of smellies and give money/vouchers. I just have too much to do, not enough money and no inclination to trawl around the shops thinking of what to buy people. I absolute love Christmas for being with family but not the rest of it!
