Nearly at this year's ISA limit, so guess I need to register for Premium Bonds as a second (4th actually!) savings vessel?0

We have about 350 to find this month to pay off the mortgage. We can do this so not worried. But end date is 24th of September and then we shall be saving £300 per month. I can't wait.0

Well done Lyn, I really am very excited about the prospect of reaching that point myself.0

Took the plunge and invested £250 into Premium Bonds this morning. Good to spread it about a bit0

Hope you get there soon how long do you have left?0

Well if I can stay in current job (or at least current salary) I reckon I can clear it within 3 years, if not then longer. Reason I am on a mission is I am suffering ill health with an illness that can't be cured and it's already affecting my work. Just got to chip away month at a time0 -
Mortgage payment was taken overnight, with £727 overpayment, reducing the outstanding amount to £38,978.
I can see progress!0 -
It's taken me all this time to work out how to edit the title!
Doh!!!0 -
Regular savers taken out of my current account today. Over all debt - savings down to under £33k
Was hoping to have some money left over at month end, but my central heating system would appear to be faulty so expense of unknown amount about to hit me *sigh* (I know I shouldn't have put it on yet, but it was very cold this morning at 5am in the living room and it would only have been on for an hour).

That's good though, if you hadn't put it on til later you would have found out it was faulty when you were really needing it!0
