Then to complicate things, NCI have been so useless so far, my worry if I stay put, aside from cost, is how good/bad the service is going to be!
That's really what did it for me in the end - having had them take money from my bank account without my authorisation has certainly not improved my view!
Are you on the FB group re it - there's some interesting reading which may help you make a decisionGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Have any previous AXA customers had a quote from NCI Pet Insurance? I was paying £55.96 with AXA for my rottweiler, this has risen to £90.15 with NCI, I am absolutely furious. AXA certainly didn't think of their customers when they decided to save money and send their customers to NCI. I phoned AXA today and apparently they understand my frustration but there is nothing they can do! The main thing they wanted to ensure in the agreement was that NCI would cover pre existing conditions. I did a quote for NCI after I received a letter from AXA saying that NCI would be taking over, the quote came out at £48.80!
My dog had an ear infection over 12 months ago, has had nothing wrong since, but if we change companies her ears won't be covered. Feeling very let down by AXA :-(0 -
Mine went from 29.77 to 1610

Furious is an understatement. My monthly premium has gone from £54.78 to £285. Added to this I am also expected to pay 15% of all vets bills because my dog is 12 years old. Have only claimed this past year after years of not claiming. Three minor procedures with no after effects and a new ongoing condition which is easily and cheaply controlled with diet. Of course this is deliberately out pricing to get rid of certain customers and I thought I'd taken a policy out for life. Have written a letter of complaint to AXA.
Anyone have any suggestions on action to take (have been in touch with ombudsman).0 -
Join the facebook group which is posted on this forum somewhere its very useful. My case is currently being looked at by ombudsman0

AXA made a gig thing of having got another company to take over existing conditions but they didnlt do anything to protect us against enormous increases on premiums. They can pass the buck to NCI who are obviously don't want the business. They know no one os going to pay these amounts.
I know AXA were and expect an increase but not to that extent.
My renewals are not until April and August and trying to decide whether to wait and see or change now.
I wonder of Dominic would be interested
