I've been making these every week for over a year now and everybody likes them, but the last few batches have come out horrible. They're either a bit too soft or the edges are crispy but the centres are either soft or have an odd dry and sandy kind of texture.
Any baking experts have a clue where I'm going wrong?
PS
I haven't changed any of the usual ingredients, although I use the Co-op's value oats and they seem to be a bit coarser than usual, that's the only change I can think of.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0
